Toasting Warmer Weather with Saks Fifth Avenue

In celebration of Saks Friends and Family Sale 25% OFF* New Arrivals and the recent warmer temperatures and sunny skies, I pulled together some great entertaining pieces for indoors OR out and am sharing my go-top recipe for Lime Basil Gimlets that I made last weekend for friends, and served in these awesome “coupetini” glasses (great for champagne OR martinis!)

Lime Basil Gimlet:

Put ice and 2 shots of vodka in a shaker

Add 1 tbs. basil simple syrup (*recipe below)

Add 1/4 cup fresh lime juice

Pop in a torn basil leaf and shake!

Strain into glass and add a basil leaf for garnish.

• For basil simple syrup bring 3/4 cup water to a boil, add 1/2 cup sugar and simmer with 2 basil leaves until sugar melts. Let cool and store in fridge in a sealed container.

Andrew is more of a whiskey or bourbon guy- and he has been in need of some grown up glasses for such imbibing. These Ralph Lauren glasses make such a good gift too, as they come in a pretty gift box.
