The blog had some hacking issues last week and so I’m trying to catch up on missed Friday fashion post AND a post for today – so here it is all in one! This outfit is a go-to for me (varying the sweater) and it just so happens we finished decorating the outside of our home this weekend and so I thought I’d show it off.
Here’s the house as it stands ready for the holidays- I kept it really simple with cedar garland and boxwood wreaths. House colors are Benjamin Moore White Dove and Sherwin Williams Mountain Road (shutters, door and barn)
I sewed this ribbon I had bought last year for our old house I had left over….. worked well with the new door color (Sherwin Williams Mountain Road). I sued suction cup hooks to hang these wreaths on the door ( examples here and here)
Our new exterior fixtures from Circa Lighting in copper and brass look particularly fetching.
We’ve got a LOT of landscaping to do next spring…. but here’s the whole place. Need a good copper weathervane for the barn.
So happy with how these lights came out against the green-grey of the barn/ garage!
Inside we’re keeping it just as simple (I bought 75 feet of cedar garland and used it ERRRRRYWHERE). Found this ribbon at Michaels and hung our old Elements by Erin Gates burlap and velvet stockings here (sold out in white, we have a few navy left here)
When we saw the house for the first time, Andrew’s first exclamation was “This is SUCH a good Christmas house”. By next year when we have all our furniture and hopefully COVID is in our past, we’ll have one HELL of a party.
I’ll finish up the family room and our trees this week and show you those as well :) Stay tuned.
