I started buying a lot of items in this color last year, and I continue to do so this year. It’s such a strong, great neutral that mixes well and looks great on all complexions. The name “Burnt Umber” reminds me of oil paints and art school. Regardless, it’s an under-appreciated tone in fashion- it really sings in silk, faux fur and leather and suede applications.
Here are some items I found currently that fit the bill!
oooh..this is my fav, too!! I just luv it…& nice w/most complexions!! franki
My favourite color right now! I just crocheted a beautiful scarf using the color “toast” yarn and it is gorgeous. Glad you like it as well.
Erin, The fashion items you choose are always so wearable and attractive. Some day, we’ll have reason again to leave the house looking like a million bucks…..for now, though, sweatpants do the trick. Sigh.
I’ve got a dressy T shirt and jacket in this exact shade. I’d love a chunky knit sweater. Always enjoy your take. And am so happy your kids are healthy.
I’ve always loved it with light grey!
