Erin here! Since I’m deep in baby girl clothes, I’ve found that I’m drawn to old school smocked details… and lo and behold- it’s also a HOT trend for grown ups too this summer! Smocking is forgiving and comfortable, so I am ALL about it. :) I rounded up some choices for adults and littles today (H&M even has matching Mommy & Me dresses, linked below).

Want it all!
“Polly Flinders”…flashbacks…franki
Awe, so cute for the little girls!!! I remember when my daughter wore smocked dresses — it was so precious! As a busty person, I am ok with having the smocking cinching the waist, but there is no way I can pull it off in the bust. It creates a bit of a uni-boob for me, which isn’t a look I’m going for!
Key word: “girls,” and not adult women. Anyone over an A or B cup is going to look blowsy. It’s a childish look and lacks sophistication.
Couldn’t agree more!
I agree with you. Being a DD myself I could NEVER carry any of those looks off without looking absolutely horrible- at least in my mind anyways. There are so many dresses like the ones presented I would love to wear but alas will have to just look at them here. They sure are pretty to look at though!
I love traditional smocked dresses for girls. They’re perfect for special occasions.
Stay pretty in the summer with pretty summer dresses that we are familiar with at some point in our life. I feel nostalgic. Also like pretty scarves that makes me feel light and elegant: https://www.montkiji.com/product-tag/seashellsouvenir/
