Hi everyone! I know it’s only Wednesday, but since I am taking the rest of the week off for my 40th birthday trip to Napa Valley I’m leaving you with a fashion post. As you know, Everlane asked to partner with me this summer to share some of my favorite looks from their summer collections. Today is a good one- so many great finds- and as I’ve mentioned before, Everlane is SUCH a great company, you can read more about their ethically-minded approach to fashion here.
I love a good bodysuit for layering- especially with skirts! And this one has a great sleeve length, is NOT see through and actually fits my long torso (I’m in a size medium). Paired with this super comfy button front skirt and denim jacket (which runs large- this is an XS) and these block heeled sandals it’s a great look for the office or anytime, really!
This dress is made of Everlane’s special Japanese GoWeave fabric, which is so cool to the touch so perfect for super hot days. I love the flattering wrap style and that no tricky undergarments are required.
I was on the fence about this top, but ended up loving it! It’s got this sculptural feel but is still super feminine. Paired with these straight cut white jeans (slightly off white so not BLINDING) and the their Day slides, which I now have in two colors because they feel like wearing slippers.
These pants are AWESOME- so great for work! Stretchy but thick material, flattering and the cutest kick at the bottom to keep them from feeling like leggings. And this sweater is the perfect summer top when it’s chilly (and will work seamlessly into my fall wardrobe). It runs small, I’m in a medium here. These sandals are so delicate but comfy and look great with dresses or pants.
(Hugs before leaving for camp– be still my heart)
I’ll be back posting Monday the 5th- tune in for ALLLLLLLLLL my thoughts about turning 40….
Beautiful clothes, you look fabulous!
I’m curious about the necklace in look 4. LOVE it.
Thanks for a great post but most importantly Happy 40th!
I love Everlane, but it just doesn’t seem to jive with your usual fashion posts. You have a lot more style and flair than Everlane’s marketing suggests. Don’t get me wrong, the clothes are beautiful on you (maybe it’s you?) but do you really wear this style?
Happy Birthday Erin! I have learned to love Everlane. So glad you are featuring and supporting them. Whatever you do, you must make a stop at Pride Mountain while in Napa. A bit of a ride (maybe 20 min?) up, up, up a long winding road but fully worth it to see the views, and the tour and wine are amazing. Just do it!
Love the clothes and also the shots of you where they don’t have you staring at the camera. You look like a model pro!
You look beautiful. I was inspired to buy the work pant in outfit #4 and have never purchased from Everlane before. Thank you and Happy Birthday!
Enjoy your birthday trip. I just had my 50th on Monday. The years fly by…
Luv all..but, Outfit 3…Fab!!! franki
Absolutely stunning! I love all the looks.
I love the blue and white top…can you tell me where the earrings are from in that photo? I have the same Juliska mug, even though I have a dozen mugs in my cabinet it’s the one I always reach for! :o) Happy 40th and have a great time in Napa! Such a great place.
Linda in San Diego
While the fashion and stylings are amazing, it’s the mug that’s now on my must-have list!! Thank you for the sourcing :)
Happy birthday, Erin! Thank you for sharing your fabulous style!
Why does the blue dress in look 2 look like a fabulous dress for dinner out at French Laundry or Francis Ford Coppola’s Winery and like a housedress when I follow the link to Everlane? Your styling was far superior and you look beautiful. Have a wonderful time on your birthday trip.
Any monkeys, lemurs or baby goats in your future?
I love that striped bell sleeve top! It’s so darling on you!
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday and 40 is amazing!
Happy Birthday and have a wonderful get away with Andrew. 40 agrees with you…….you look amazing in these photos!
First off, Happy Birthday! Also, you’re skin is glowing in these pictures. Are you still using that cream you mentioned in a recent post? How do you like it so far? Thanks for the Everlane recommendations!
Hi Erin! Could you share info on the blue earrings in look 2? Thank you in advance! (I loved your accessory choices across the board for this shoot!)
Old Baublebar– no longer on the site :(
Bummer. Thank you for taking the time to respond. Have a great day (and a fabulous birthday trip!)
