Making Over Your Kitchen and Bath with Home Depot!
Today I’ve partnered with Home Depot to show you the vast array of amazing decorative building supplies for kitchens and baths they have and how you can create a high-end designer look in your home by simply taking a trip to the home of the orange apron!
We recently used some of Home Depot’s amazing Martha Stewart hardware on a project and I was so impressed I made it the jumping off point for this kitchen design. If you aren’t in the market for new cabinets and counters, consider just swapping out your hardware for a quick update. I used two different types of Martha Stewart cabinetry here as a base, doing the lowers (and island) in the cerused wood tone and the uppers in a nice white Shaker style. A simple elongated subway tile with contrast grout makes for a simple and timeless backsplash, while the counters are done in a tough-as-nails quartz that looks a whole lot like Calacatta Gold marble, which is great for those of us with messy kids. A pair of stylish pendant lights and a brass finish faucet add the finishing touch to the space. Lets not forget the ground level of a showstopping star patterned tile made of ceramic but that looks like cement– so maintenance is a breeze, but you get that old world charm look as well!

For this bathroom I started with a Home Decorators vanity and chose some fun new Martha knobs to dress it up a bit more. For the floor I used a rectangle marble tile, but would plan to lay it in a herringbone pattern to add some interest. One of my most favorite bathroom plumbing fixture suites to use on my own projects is Kohler’s Pinstripe Pure, so I used it here as well (yes, you can get it at HD!) Two modern sconces flank a round mirror that hangs from a chain (I like to install nice looking round robe hooks to hang mirrors like this from instead of just a regular hook to dress things up). A free-standing tub is such a luxury, but doesn’t have to cost a fortune, with this one coming in at about $750! This bathroom is a classic, timeless but modern look that will either give you years of enjoyment, or up your property value! And if you can’t redo the whole bathroom, consider fresh paint and new plumbing fixtures and hardware for a mini-makeover!

They even have these great iron door inspired shower enclosures! Talk about a seriously cool upgrade to your current stall shower!
You can use your Pinterest and Instagram favorite design spaces to inspire your own home, but don’t have to buy everything from a super expensive source. Home Depot has really upped its game, especially online, in so many departments like lighting, hardware and tile so consider them when looking to make some improvements to your kitchen or bath!

To add to my comment, Home Depot assured me that Kraft Made was a top of the line cabinet, their best.
Kraft Made cabinets were delivered damaged and with imperfections. They are very low quality.
I feel like they fooled me. I feel cheated and angry.
I had my kitchen done by Home Depot last year. Spent over $25,000 and I couldn’t be more disappointed and angry. I have cabinets that I am not able to open. The majority of the cabinets were not leveled. I can’t ipen my refrigerator door so I have my fridge sticking out so I can open it. The doors don’t close because of they are uneven, some pieces are missing and one of the cabinets door don’t match the rest. Not to mention that it took them over 4 months and about 6 appointment to finish the job.
I have contacted Home Depot about this and they responded by offering a miserable $1,500.
I refused the money because I expect more for a kitchen that is supposedly custom designed and custom installed. I will not rest until Home Depot makes this right. It’s not fair that I have to pay so much money for a kitchen that I am not happy with.

I’ve heard so many nightmare stories around Home Depot projects, especially when their contractors are involved. Many of their products are lesser quality versions of the brand name … cabinetry especially. I cancelled an entire Home Depot cabinet order and instead went with Cabinets.com — no joke, I discovered the manufacturer on this blog (thank you Erin and Lindsey!) and they are far superior in quality and service. I now have gorgeous cabinets with Blum soft-close hinges that are so much nicer than anything I saw at HD.
That’s not to say I haven’t purchased other “accessories” at Home Depot like knobs and fixtures.
Also, we’re fast approaching the end of the “gray trend” (which includes those driftwood finishes) so think about whether you want to invest in this color for the long-term or for resale purposes.

Hi. I’ve never done my kitchen and it needs it sadly! What is the approximate cost for a kitchen similar to this from Home Depot or ikea I know it depends on appliances but just trying to see if we can afford it. Thank Js love the blog!
