Make-A-Wish,
I lost my younger brother when he was 23 years old to a brain tumor. He was granted a wish by Make-A-Wish when he was 14 and originally diagnosed and it was one of the highlights of his short life. You really don’t really how much of a break the child and their family needs and how much of a difference it makes on their life. It really is an amazing organization. My brother was a “Wish maker” giving back to the organization from the minute he received his wish until the day he died. He wanted to give other children what was given to him, he was so grateful for it. He’s been gone for 3 years now, but my family continues to give back to Make- A-Wish in his honor and raise thousands of dollars each year at an annual Charity volley back tournament. This is my first time commenting on your site. Although I love your sense of style, it is your honesty that brings me back to your blog on a regular basis.
I wanted to advocate for RAW Art Works in Lynn, MA. RAW’S mission is to IGNITE the DESIRE to CREATE and the CONFIDENCE TO SUCCEED in underserved youth. RAW’s clinical art therapists and professional artists build meaningful relationships with each kid, helping them see a broader palette of life choices. They challenge them to change negative patterns while giving unrelenting support to reach what may seem unattainable.
I have been so impressed with this organization and suggest that you check it out. They are often doing career nights to expose students to work in creative fields. Perhaps you and some artists or designers that you know would be willing to participate.
I love the Red Cross, and I think we need to focus more on education and less on materialism!

Wow, thanks for introducing me to this great charity! As a teacher I love organizations that support and value education….and it’s just icing on the cake that the clothes are gorgeous! My favorite charity is a local organization called Iskashitaa (where I live in AZ) which harvests fruit from unpicked citrus trees (there are a TON that go unpicked in Arizona, if you can believe it) and redistributes the food to our refugee population. They even hold free workshops where they teach refugees how to cook with the fruit if they are unfamiliar with it. It’s a creative solution that’s eliminating food waste by feeding the hungry!

For many reasons St Jude’s has been a favorite charity of mine for years.
My favorite is the ASPCA – there are way too many sad animals that need love and a home!
MSPCA such a wonderful facility and brings so much joy with rescuing cats, dogs and other animals! We got our kitten Armondo there and no matter what is going on in the world he can make you feel better with his kitty snuggles!
Love the giveaway! My charity of choice is Friends of Youth, a homeless shelter for youth on the Eastside of the Seattle WA area.
Awesome giveaway! My favorite charity is the ASPCA. All animals deserve a loving, safe home. Also, my family is very active with Toys For Tots during the holiday season.
Love the jacket!
My favorite charity is One Sky Foundation, formally Half the Sky. This supports orphaned children in China. Two of our children benefitted from this charity so it is near and dear to our hearts.
Great Blazers! My favorite charity is Choice Humanitarian. They’re bring water to villages all over the world. They also build schools so women and children can be educated and learn to read in remote villages of Guatamala.
I’m a big supporter of the Humane Society.
Our top charity is CureSMA.org
My niece has Type II so it is extremely close to our family! We need to find a cure!
My favorite charity is Make A Wish, closely followed by the Wounded Warrior program.
Great giveaway! I love Doctors Without Borders, The Pricess Project and ANY charity that benifits animals!
I so love how Two Penny Blue donates uniforms to girls in Africa with purchases. Such a wonderful addition to make to the World. My favorite charity would be Susie’s Senior Dogs (http://www.susiesseniordogs.com/what-is-ssd/), a group that works to find homes for older, homeless dogs, who are usually overlooked by potential adopters due to their age. If I could adopt 50 older dogs, I would.
Saving Grace in Raleigh, N.C. takes in pups from kill shelters all over the state and takes amazing care of them until they are adopted by loving homes. That and Girls on the Run are tied for my favorites!
Done and done! Love 2PB stuff and such an awesome mission. I have two favorite charities…Cradles to Crayons (www.cradlestocrayons.org) and Diamond Blackfan Anemia Foundation (www.dbafoundation.org).
The new styles are gorgeous!
Great idea to bring awareness to different charities. My current favorites are Kelly Hall YMCA (located on the West side of Chicago and dedicated to helping youth with after school programs, mentoring etc.) and the Kind Campaign focusing on girl-against-girl bullying.
Wonderful post, Erin! It is always refreshing to see people doing good in the world and giving back, especially in the midst of what’s going on in the news. World Vision is one of my favorite charities. They support orphanages around the world.
Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
I work with the Lymphoma Research Foundation to support of my friend’s mom, who lost her battle. I freakin’ hate cancer.
My favorite charities are the Ronald McDonald House and any local animal shelters. Love these jackets!
Great post, love the heart behind Two Penny Blue! My favorite charity is Blood Water Mission. They are a charity working to end the HIV/AIDS and water crises in Africa. They’re doing incredible things! http://www.bloodwater.org
Love the new styles – and the mission of this great company! My favorite charity is St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Thanks so much for the great giveaway opportunity!
My favorite charity is The Fisher House Foundation. It’s mission it to provide a housing for families during the hospitalization of soldiers with illness, injuries or diseases. Super amazing!
Following on Insta, signed up for newsletter and LOVE those jackets.
My favorite charity is the Walk to End Alzheimer’s thru the Alzheimer’s Association
Autism Society!
Make a wish foundation. Every child deserves happiness.
Love that Margot jacket. Wow, it’s killer. My longtime favorite charity is Compassion International, releasing children from poverty in Jeasus’ name. For $39/month you support a child and you are able to correspond with them. I’ve had several over the years and have met many of them. A true blessing.
“Love is love is love is love. ” We need more of that! Thank you for reaching out to your readers on such an important issue — too many remain quiet. I work a lot with Youth Services in Tulsa, OK. They help underprivileged and homeless children and teens specifically. They help integrate them back into the community and encourage them to reach their potential and live their life for the greater good, the greater change. It is such a great organization as the children are our future. They have the ability to change the world. We need generations of change and Youth Services is starting now! http://www.yst.org/yst/Who_We_Are.asp
Thank you for standing up, in this world of hate.
my favorite charity is the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. I’m a Boston area high school teacher who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when I was in high school. I have lunch every Friday with the girls at my school who also have T1D, and we do the Boston Walk to Cure Diabetes in the fall down at the Hatch Shell! All of our fundraising goes towards research to find a cure for diabetes – for people like us!
love the blazers – would be perfect for school! Thanks, Erin!
My favorite charity is NAMI – National Alliance on Mental Illness. Don’t love the name but love their work, mission, information and research. It’s time to eliminate the stigma of mental illness. Who among us hasn’t struggled in at least some small way or watched a loved one struggle unnecessarily. Get involved with the NAMI organization in your area. They are an amazing resource and do great work.
instagram – check, newsletter – check….orange county rape crisis center — making such a difference.
Both the Sick Kids Foundation and Salvation Army are charities I personally care about. It is wonderful to see the other charities your readers support here, too – a reminder that there is still so much good in the world.
My favorite charities are The Campagna Center in Alexandria, VA, Bright Beginnings in Washington, DC and The Children’s Inn at NIH in Bethesda, MD. I’m part of the Junior Friends of The Campagna Center and we fundraise for the Early Head Start, Alexandroa Head Start and Early Learning Center, Building Better Futures program for at-risk middle and high school students and an adult program, New Neighbors, an English Language Learner program that offers English classes and services to help immigrants become self-sufficient. http://www.campagnacenter.org/programs
Bright Beginnings DC is an early education center for homeless children and their families founded by the Junior League of Washington, which I’m a sustaining member. http://www.brightbeginningsinc.org/about
The Children’s Inn at NIH provides a home away from home for children and their families receiving treatment and pediatric research for serious illness at the National Institutes of Health. I used to be on their Young Ambassadors Council before I had my son: http://www.childrensinn.org
I’m pregnant but love a good blazer to make an outfit more polished and my favorite look for work or a night out is always tipped off with a tailored blazer!
My favorite charity is Dan and Ron’s Dog rescue. they save dogs and have over 100 dogs at their farm.
That Edie jacket is gorgeous! Favorite charity -Union gospel mission
So many amazing charities out there. My current favorite is the Hope Alliance. Gorgeous jackets!
My favorite charity is Cycle fro Survival, which was founded by my friend and raises millions for rare cancer research at Sloan Kettering. 100% of every dollar raised is deployed in a rare cancer research program within 6 months.
I love to support local charities so in our town it is our Rescue Mission.
Thanks for the chance to win that beautiful blazer!! I don’t know if you have to do all 3 things, I don’t have an instagram account but I did the other 2 =)
My favorite international charity would probably be Compassion, however, I prefer to just donate / volunteer locally to make a difference, which I volunteer at the Eastern Shore Public Library.

Love these jackets! So many worthy charities to choose from but one we supported this year was American Refugee Committee which provides long-term humanitarian aid to refugees and displaced people.
Hospice, they work tirelessly with compassion and love to care for the most vulnerable of people in their greatest time of need.
The Wounded Warrior Project is my current favorite charity — the sacrifices our service men and women make are incredible! Anything I can do to thank and repay them!!
St. Jude’s for a very long time. Goats of Anarchy is my new pet charity. :)
CASA, which provides advocates (and a voice) for children going through child abuse legal cases. Thanks EOS!
Love love love all of Two Penny Blue’s designs. Thank you so much for introducing me to them Erin! My favorite charity is the World Wildlife Fund (WWF.org) If I could go around and save every distressed animal in the world I would. But I can’t. So I am proud to support this amazing organization that fights for animals and the environment on the ground and in the offices of policy makers and legislators.
Any and all adoption causes is definitely something that I support. We feel so blessed to have what we have but all children deserve to have a home where they feel loved.
I like the mission of Food for Free in Cambridge. There’s too much hunger and too much food waste in our communities and I like what they’re doing to try to change that. Enjoy your weekend!
Christopher reeve foundation, thank you!
Every mom counts! As a mom of two little ones who was given the very best care throughout both my pregnancies, I feel it’s essential to pay that forward and ensure every mom is given that same embrace, care and love! https://www.change.org/p/cover-midwife-and-doula-services-for-mothers-in-the-united-states-givingbirthinamerica
I am a big supporter of the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Love!! I came across the Kind Campaign several years ago when they were just starting out post college. The organization is a non-profit initiative started by two sweet young ladies to bring awareness and healing to girl-on-girl bullying. Highly recommend checking them out!
Easy to see why you are obsessed with the jacket. It’s great! The charity I focus on right now is the Wounded Warrior Project. My brother enlisted last year, and care for or servicemen and women took on a whole new meaning.
I love people and am so glad so many support charities that benefit humanity but I have a soft spot for defenseless and abused animals. I give to many animal charities but the one that receives a monthly gift from me is the ASPCA.
Beautiful clothes! Thanks for doing a giveaway. My favorite charity is the Pediatric Brain Foundation. After 3 kids were diagnosed in our community in the past 2 years, we have learned how little research is done for children with cancer. Only 4% of cancer finding goes to pediatric cancers. Seeing my friend lose her son has been heartbreaking. Hoping for more research to be done so no other mother had to endure the same trials.
I volunteer for Friends of the Library Seattle because I believe in books. I also contribute to the Heifer Project because I like their program.
We love Doctor’s Without Borders!
Love love love the jackets!
Irene
Since recently becoming a parent, children’s charities hold a special place in my heart. SOS Children’s Villages has provided homes to over 50,000 orphaned or abandoned children in over 130 countries. I can’t imagine what it is like to go through life (especially childhood) without a family and a support system. I love that this charity is working to create a safe place and a sense of community for these children. http://www.sos-usa.org/
My favorite charity is a tie between dress for success and make a wish.
My favorite charity is BEAstrong which supports Biliary Atresia at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Here’s the link for information and donations. It’s an incredible journey this family has taken. To learn more go to http://www.make-statements.com/ Hillary Weiner’s blog.
PS I seriously need that jacket!
Awesome giveaway! My favorite charity is Meals on Wheels of Ridgefield, CT. I think it’s really important to take care of elderly or disabled people in my town and to ensure they have healthy and nutritious meals. Even though I’m a busy mom I make time to be a board member for this wonderful organization, and it’s something that makes me feel great to be a part of.
