Runway to Room: Stripes+Florals

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

I have so been loving the mix of stripes and florals in fashion this year.  It’s a totally unexplected but great way to combine two prints without looking like a lunatic.

And there is no reason this can’t translate into your home! Chintzy florals are back in, and paired with crisp stripes it looks modern and fun!

Tilton Fenwick @ Hamptons Showhouse

Wednesday, July 20th, 2011

I met the Tilton Fenwick girls at this years Blogfest in NYC and they are such sweet people!  I was excited to see that they were doing a room for the Hamptons Designer Showhouse this summer and LOVE the results, thanks to a sneak peek on Nest blog. Such inventive pairings of fabrics and use of textures in this space- plus a adore all the artwork! I’ll be out in the Hamptons for a couple days in August with a client and I think we might have to go see this in person!

Love the ostrich textured table!

The chairs upholstered in the stripe with the floral fabric running down the center is GENIUS- not to mention the banding on those drapes!

Love this Phillip Jeffries grasscloth with the raised rivets- i pulled it a couple weeks ago at our local showroom because I thought it was so cool- seeing it installed makes it all the better!

Love the tortoise coffee table- such a summery, natural pattern.

Happy Fourth: Tobi Fairley Guest Post

Monday, July 4th, 2011

Happy Fourth of July everyone! The fabulous Tobi Fairley asked Kelley Moore and I to take out little “Runway to Room to Tabletop” series over to her blog on this holiday and use an all-American theme to do it.  We chose a look from the Tommy Hilfiger Spring 2011 runway that screams patriotic, classic, born in the USA style.  Go to her blog to see the sources and Kelley’s picnic worthy tabletop, but here’s a peek at my guest bedroom/kid’s room….
