As I’ve mentioned before, I love using antiques in almost every project I do because it adds so much life and patina to a space unlike anything else. And while flea markets and antique fairs are fun, they are a lot of work and time. We love to use 1st Dibs, Etsy and Ebay to source from our desks, but there are two other sites that sell not only vintage items but also gently used designer items that you can have for a fraction of the retail price.
The first is Viyet. I met one of the founders in Los Angeles while doing a panel discussion and she was so lovely. The premise to this site is for designers and owners of high-end furniture to be able to consign pieces they don’t want, need to sell, etc. Also showrooms sell some of their floor models on here, which is fabulous! You can shop by showroom here.
I’ve always loved Nordstrom for clothing, accessories, makeup and shoes but never really thought of them for home goods. Well, they are adding a lot of great stuff to their e-commerce site for the home and they asked me to share some of my favorite items (most for under $200!)
10. OK, this little plate made me laugh because it reminds me of this one time my parents got a grill with a rotisserie and after working so hard to get the chicken on the thing and then actually roasted, my mom could notfigure out how to get it OFF the rotisserie. Cut to me walking outside to find her whacking at the chicken with a butcher knife in frustration, with all the dogs standing around her delighted as pieces of chicken rained down on them. I think she needs this.
22. Another hilariously awesome gift- a wine holder for the bathtub or shower. I mean, if you drink wine in the shower you might have a problem, but in the tub is TOTALLY acceptable. And this keeps it from slipping off the edge of the tub and INTO your bath (which has totally never happened to me. Ever.)
I get so excited when good new product releases happen, and right now that happens to be at West Elm. Take a peek at some of my most favorite things right now (time to freshen up our homes for spring!)
These lamps look similar to a much more expensive desk lamp I’ve been eying.
MK Style is one of our newest sponsors and one that I personally am thrilled about! The Denver based home store is the brainchild of two very stylish ladies, Molly Simons and Katie Agron. Their style is very “me” so I thought it might also be very “you”. Check out some of my favorite items in their online shop (click image for link) and if you live in Denver, go visit them!
