Overstock.com has joined ranks with One Kings Lane and Rue La La by announcing the launch of their own private sale site Eziba.  I am particularly liking these offerings on there today from C.G. Sparks! Join here and add yet another site to your daily “must-check-it-right-at-noon” site to your favorites!

West Elm Fall Preview

Wednesday, June 16th, 2010

I got these images for the West Elm fall preview last night and I am LOVING the look! Some of the items are available now on the website, others launching in August! Even better news, they are going to be launching a program in which you can choose from 26 new fabrics for upholstered sofas and sectionals! It always frustrated me that there were no choices in the matter when it came to fabrics for their cool designs! Happy dance!

Sponsor Welcome: Dressing on the Side

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010

Nope, not just something you request when ordering a caesar salad– but rather another EOS sponsor of the Etsy variety! Makers of screen printed tee’s with witty little saying and drawings, Dressing on the Side is a charming small business I’m happy to support (and be supported by them in return!)  Pairing this cupcake tee with a box of cake mix, a spatula, cupcake pan and an apron would be an adorable shower gift for a bride to be!

And this one ( which says “Drinks Like A Fish”) should be sent to Chelsea Handler STAT. I just finished her memoir “My Horizontal Life” in two days and it not only caused me to laugh so loud while reading in public that I snorted (cue blushing red face) but made me feel like my nightly wine imbibing is not as bad as I thought :)

Favorite New Rug

Tuesday, April 20th, 2010

Nate Berkus just launched a new rug design on HSN and it is PHENOMENAL. Too bad I already have a zig zag rug or this one would be coming home with me. Rock on, Nate.

A Well Appointed House

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

As a rule, I am quite selective about who I take on as sponsors in an attempt to never water down the content on this blog while making a couple extra bucks for all the work I put into it.  So when Well Appointed House asked to sign up, I was thrilled. I’ve shopped on their website before and they carry so many fabulous lines of home goods you might lose an hour or two perusing.  They also have a blog and if you sign on to be a follower today by midnight you will be entered to win a $150 gift certificate to the site! Hello?! Easy as pie! So pop on over to their blog and site.  What can you put that $150 towards? Why, I’m glad you asked!

A choice of fab trays (I have a little tray obsession, I need a 12 step program):

Fun decorative accessories that turn any little corner into something special:

A bevy of throw pillows:

0025209_3000024603_300

A selection of vintage posters available as prints or hanging chart style in a variety of sizes!

Great lighting options:

Some lovely stuff for my pups :)

$150 won’t buy you furniture, but it could put a little dent in the cost- and there are a variety of styles on this site:

And for the kid who has everything and the parent who has a BIG budget- this play canopy and playhouse are BANANAS.  If Andrew and I hadn’t found an apartment yesterday I think we would have had to buy one of these “play houses” and put in someone’s backyard. If I had gotten this as a kid my face would have melted off from hysterical joy. Although I can’t complain- having a designer for dad did provide me with a professionally designed tree house that had glass paned windows, front and rear decks and a shingled roof. :)

Taking Stock at Overstock

Wednesday, February 24th, 2010

Overstock.com is fast becoming one of my go-to sites for affordable furniture, accessories, lighting, art- you name it. But did you know they have some lovely TILE as well? If you are renovating a bathroom you might want to check out these classics available on the site:

And how can resist these beauties- at such great prices? Many of these are copies of design classics, but if you can’t afford the real thing and you’re dying for the look I see NO PROBLEM in getting a copy. No one will know. Just don’t buy fake Louis Vuitton. That I cannot support.

Oh hello, fake Colette bed, how are you? Would you like to come live with me?

Distracting Pretty Things.

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Ok, enough moping about Met Home (and the phantom pains of other defunct shelter magazines of yesteryear). Let’s distract ourselves with pretty things found on the magical interwebs by sheer luck. I was on Yurdan.com looking for kilim rugs and instead found this amazing vintage inspired necklace! The woven silk braid combined with the stones and rustic gold branches would look amazing paired with a simple silk camisole or blouse and jeans (and gold heels. Natch.)
