I’ve always LOVED this photo of SJP’s Hampton’s dining room (I’d add a rug and some modern art though- just FYI). I recall that the fixture was vintage, but I found one almost identical on Tonic Home- it’s called the Sara (coincidence?) and comes in a bevy of colors! What a GREAT way to add a pop of color to a dining room!
(Also still coveting the mismtached chairs all painted black!)

What I’m Loving: Urban Electric Company

I came to know Urban Electric Co. through a really exciting, gorgeous project I’m working on (this client has used just about every fixture I’ve coveted in my life). Not only are their products drop-dead gorgeous in person, they are the most lovely company to work with- amazing customer service and generous flexibility, which is really hard to come by these days in this industry!
The Belmont almost brings me to tears in it’s classic perfection:

Martha Does It Again

I am crazy about the new Martha Stewart for Murray Feiss lighting collection. Especially these chandeliers in milk glass and jadeite- in a kitchen they would be BEYOND extraordinary!

Stray Dog

I have a weak spot in my heart for stray dogs, and now I feel the same about a home furnishings company aptly named Stray Dog as well! I have seen their work a few times this year, most memorably in the HGTV Green Home (which sadly, I did not win). I love these lamps still, as well as the great loopy side table that was in Domino (below).

Another great lamp as well as a loopy mirror (only $125!) that would look great anywhere!

Another Crafty Chandelier!

Serendipitously, while looking at the alarmingly gorgeous Interieurs site, I came across this chandelier on their 1stdibs page. After yesterday’s post on the wine glass chandelier, I could not believe that I managed to come across yet another creative use for tableware as lighting! These feature vintage spoons on a steel frame in three sizes, these two shapes are my favorite. They don’t come cheap, so I can see them best utilized in a great bistro/small restaurant space.

The reason I was looking on this amazing site was for this lighting fixture that was featured in their ad in this month’s Metropolitain Home. I think it is quite possible the perfect chandelier- not too modern, not too traditional and with just the right amount of glamour.

As I count the weeks until my jaunt to Napa Valley, I came across this site thanks to my mom and found some really great lighting! I live the organically shaped glass pendant lights which would look amazing over a kitchen island, and the raffia drum light that is perfect for above a small dining table. These glowy orb lights for outside entertaining would look so etheral placed in various part of a garden, yard or patio when having an outdoor party!

And how about this mailbox that had an interior light that is solar powered so when you have guests looking for your house at night, you are incredibly easy to find! Genius!
