Gift Guide: For Her

For the yogi in your life gift the just released PranaVayu Yoga DVD (from my personal teacher) shot in artistic black and white and a great practice for those just beginning or those who have been doing yoga for a while. Pair it with a monogrammed mat to make it complete.

To inspire someone to get moving (or for any athlete- yoga or any other sport), this is my current favorite top for yoga AND running. It looks great an so many different body types, truly! I am currently working on a petition for Lululemon to bring back my favorite top- it’s like plastic surgery and a diet in a garment. Good thing I bought three.

A simple cross body black bag with funky hardware from Rebecca Minkoff is TOTALLY on my wish list!

These monogrammed iPad cases can be made with either solid leather or leopard print backs! Expensive, but oh so cool!

I blogged about these before and sung their praises (and then they promptly sold out)- but now the famous fake Frye’s from Target are back and I HIGHLY advise you to buy a pair for every gal you know. Best and most comfy pair of boots I’ve ever owned (and many, many of my friends and readers agree) and they are under $50! Ordering the black for myself right now, and maybe a back up pair of the brown!

One of my friends has a ring made of druzy agate and it’s my new obsession- these earrings and ring are such fab examples of it’s sparkly, modern charm

I still love ikat- especially on these plates and bowls from Anthropologie. It makes eating grilled cheese and soup all winter long way more fun (if it’s possible to make grilled cheese and soup more awesome…)

Scarves usually hide all our fab jewelry, so why not combine bling AND warmth with this to die for jeweled J.Crew “snood” (who came up with that word, it’s ridiculous) so you can sparkly and stay toasty?

Gift Guide: For Home

My final gift guide with items for the home. This year I tried especially hard to keep my recommendations budget friendly because there is nothing worse than seeing a gift idea in a magazine that is so perfect and then reading in the notes that it’s merely $795.

A beautiful glass set perfect for a Christmas cocktail, from Tonic Home. To make it a really complete gift add this drink book- “The Bon Viviants Companion”.

I think this wildflowers poster/forever calendar is stunning. pop it in an Ikea frame and it’s a very impressive gift for the decoratively obsessed.

These custom silhouette ornaments would be an amazing keepsake for any family- each stamped with individual names.

This fuschia ikat recycled throw is PRETTY amazing if you ask me!

These hand painted Balinese baskets are great for storage AND decoration!

I am loving these colorful Bodum french presses for the coffee addict on your list. Pair with a bright pair of Pantone mugs- or these hilarious travel mugs for the sassier coffee drinker.

Lots of people have or will get Kindle’s this X-mas- dress hers up with this awesome Halsea cover?

I’ve been coveting the Hermes double wrap Cape Cod watch for a while now- these watches by La Mer collection (which you can custom design, even with added chains, studs, colors and charms) have a similar look for under $100 for most of them! I’d love one!

Both myself and my fashion styling partner bought this ruffle cardi-jacket from Anthropologie weeks ago without realizing it. It’s my favorite for fall and a GREAT gift for a woman of any age/shape! Available in a few colors!
