Let’s be real, most of us can’t spend a bundle on people this year, so here are some great ideas for under $75!

2. A classic pair of Staffordshire dogs for someone’s mantle.

3. An adorable color blocked dress for under $25?!

4. A fur trapper hat for him or her- this years hot topper.

5. A little leopard. Come on, you know I had to.

6. Adorable tote with amazing monogram options for under $30.

7. A kit that allows kids to design their own superhero cape. Mine would be Anxiety Girl, for sure.

8. I am in love with me electric wine opener. Get one.

9. I apparently am still asleep, I skipped number 9.

10. Scrape off your windshield in style. There’s even a fur trimmed option.

11. YSL’s big hits in a GORGEOUS clutch! Love!

12. Can’t afford $100 an hour shrink? Try these fill out forms to get all the holiday stress out.

Gift Guide: Kids (Human and Furry)

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

My last gift guide for the year- here we go! Hope I’ve helped you cross a few things off your list this year!

I simply love this little teepee from Land of Nod. I would have dragged a sleeping bag into it as a kids and slept in there every night.

I am absolutely MAD for this sheepskin rocking horse from DWR- a child’s toy that doubles as modern art!

Let them create masterful works of art while waiting for supper with this genius framed placemat set.

They may not appreciate it now, but a set of these classic children’s books with their magnificent covers will stand the test of time!

I saw this little corduroy pony and baby blanket in a delightful shop in Vermont and just LOVED them both.

A simple pleasure such as shadow puppets should still be enjoyed by kids, don’t ya think?

For older kids, this InstaMax camera brings back the Polaroid but in a smaller size! I saw it being used at a party recently and loved it!

I really hope little girls still play with dollhouses. I had such a lovely one as a kid and I loved it…. until Barbie came along with her Dream House, plastic-haired boyfriend and metallic pink Corvette and distracted me. I found some really amazing dollhouses for design junkies who certainly wouldn;t mind these being on display- no plastic please, how about wood shingles instead?

If you are of the modern persuasion how about this little number??

Christmas Eve pajamas are always fun- these classics from Hanna Andersson are a family favorite.

I think this looks simply adorable.

I nearly DIED when I saw this little leopard faux fur coat at Baby Gap. And then I saw this striped blazer and I think I felt my ovaries nearly leap out of my body.

But until I decide to make that mommy leap, I will be getting my furbabies matching sock monkey sweaters. Oh yes I will.

And maybe some custom dog beds from Furbish. Spoiled little buggers.
