My Pop-Up Shop at M. Flynn & 2PB Winner.

I have always wanted to have my own boutique. Obviously adding that to my already insane to-do list is too much, so when M. Flynn approached me about doing a pop-up shop in coordination with my jewelry collection with them I leapt at the chance! They renovated an amazing little space off their gorgeous store and we filled it with brands I’ve collaborated with as well as some local companies I just love.  We had our party a couple weeks ago but the shop is open until December 25th so please pop in if you are in the South End shopping!  Perfect for holiday gifts (yes, we need to start thinking about that!)

We set the table with my new collection with Jill Rosenwald (including brand new hand-painted striped dinner plates!)  We made a centerpiece out of greens and jewelry (and used some The Ropes Maine bracelets as napkin rings, of course).

My Collection for M.Flynn Jewelry (& A Party!)

I am so excited to launch another cool collaboration project I’ve been working on today!  I was approached by Megan and Moria Flynn, of Boston’s adorably amazing M. Flynn Jewelry, to design a capsule collection of fine jewelry for them this fall.  And starting today it’s available for pre-order! (And fun fact, my middle name growing up was Flynn- my grandmother’s maiden name- so I am sure we are related somehow!)

Tea with India.

Last Thursday I had the pleasure of hosting a little tea party for the fantastic India Hicks at Mohr & McPherson in the South End and it was a fantastic event.  So many people showed up and enjoyed meeting the dynamic India and picking up some gorgeous goodies from her new line. Here’s a little recap!

Me and the fab India. I have submitted my adoptions papers for her to make me one of her brood.

Afternoon Tea with Me and India Hicks!

I’m so, so delighted to be hosting a little get together for India Hicks next Thursday here in Boston at the fantastic Mohr & McPherson in the South End (since they source a lot from India I thought it perfectly appropriate!)  I have met India before (she’s incredibly funny and lovely) and she was kind enough to review and give a quote for my book- so it’s so nice to be able to welcome her back to Boston!

Connecticut Event & A Fab Local Home!

I wanted to let any Connecticut and New York based designers to know that I’ll be doing a fun talk next week on Thursday May 7th at the Wakefield Design Center for their To the Trade Market Day! We’ll be chatting with the amazing Stacy Kunstel about using social media, blogging and the interwebs to grow your brand and my little story behind taking EOS from a little journal to a best-selling book! Click here for the whole itinerary and RSVP to the address below to attend! I’ll also be doing a book signing afterwards too!

And while we’re speaking about Connecticut and design I wanted to share these images of the work (and homes) of Lyme, CT based designer Gretchen Mann. Sadly, Gretchen passed away this year, but her work shows such a timeless, enduring quality.  I adore how she modernized her historic cottage home and grew it into a family compound that both respects it’s roots and celebrates modernity too. Take a peek…
