With mask wearing not ending anytime soon, I think a lot of us have saved a decent amount of money on lipgloss. I mean, what’s the point??? With our eyes being the only thing people see right now, I’ve upped my eye makeup game a little bit. And with that, my eye creams and treatments. Below is a round up of some tried and true faves – from eye creams and mascaras to brow pencils and eyeliner (I never use a pencil – always tightline angle brush and wet powder!). I also have a serious concealer addiction, and I’ve tried all of these and liked them.
Let me know your faves in comments!!!

Does anyone have tips for picking the right concealer color when ordering everything online? I’m so looking forward to going in for a full make-up refresh post-Covid, but in the meantime I’ve struck out on a few things I’ve ordered online.
You might laugh or raise your brows (ha!) at me, but ELF makes a brow pencil that I love, with a brush at the other end. Neutral brown – I’m a brunette similar to Erin. Easy to use, lasts all day, and about $4! I’m looking at the Wander undereye cover here. Shape Tape is feeling heavy/cakey on my 52 years old undereyes since they discontinued the version with marula oil. Thanks, Erin!
Sephora has a fat eyeshadow pencil in nude that is super cheap – I scroll it over entire lid almost up to brow and just rub with my finger – it just takes out all the redness and makes my eyes look fresh and rested – you could layer another eyeshadow over if you wanted to – game changer for me
I need a total refresh – thank you for rounding up! x
I love some of these eyeshadow duos. I use the Born This Way Super Coverage Multi-Use Concealer. It is my favorite! Thank you for sharing!
Colorscience- A concealer that I found a few years ago that I still love!!
That tip about using wet powder as eyeliner seems incredible, will try that! Since I can’t wear any lipstick now, I’m wearing navy blue eyeliner to switch things up. Regarding concealers, I’m using the Dior forever and am very pleased with it. Have a nice weekend!
Kevyn Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer concealer.
Cult favorite and is amazing!
Thanks, Erin. Would you feel comfortable recommending your top two or three undereye concealers? I’ve had serious dark circles since 8th grade (so probably somewhat hereditary) and have dry skin. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I’d say the Cle de de Peau, wander beauty and the yves one (layered on top of the cle) are my best bets
oops I see now that some others have weighed in on concealers so thanks, all.
Fun fact – the Glossier brow flick pen makes the most amazing liquid liner on the upper lash line. A little more subtle/softer than a traditional liquid liner like a Stila. Store it cap side up to avoid too much product gathering at the tip. And it’s totally safe for eyes (I promise – I’m the former Head of Consumer Insights at Glossier/I use it everyday on my upper lash line in brown).
Amazing insight!!!! Going to try!
I have purchased Laura Mercier Flawless Skin repair Eye Serum many times. It is a radiant finish and doesn’t dry out as soon as I apply concealer. It’s the Serum – I use it as eye cream. For concealer I love, love the new Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk concealer. Doesn’t dry out and look crepey!! I am in my 50’s and most look cakey or turn cakey on me. I also have bought many of the Maybelline Cover Stick. Opaque and similar to Mac concealer in the pot. It runs a shade lighter in color. Keep extras in my car and purse etc.
I could also use an eye makeup tutorial! I use and love Beauty Counter’s concealer. In fact, all of my makeup is BC!
I carry that serum stick everywhere with me… I probably have 5 of them! I reapply almost hourly 😂
Which is the serum stick? I use the L Mercier cake liner too –
Highly recommend Laura Mercier caviar stick if you haven’t tried! I got one in Taupe and it is subtle and shimmery. I can’t wait to wear it out when I finally leave my house :)
I too love the Laura Mercier caviar sticks- rose gold is my color. I like NARS concealer & cle de Peau. I like ILIA mascara a lot but think L’Oréal voluminous is pretty great too.
Agree the Benefit concealer is fantastic! I also tried their mascara and love it. I too was a Dior mascara lover for years!!
I think you should do a eye make up tutorial next!😉
Yes! At age 43, I still really don’t know how to apply eyeshadow!
