Fashion Friday: Affordable, Ethically Made Classics For All Weather.

This summer I’ve partnered with Everlane to share some favorites each month from their selection of affordable, ethically made classics.  What I love about this brand is twofold- that that stick to well made basics- clean lined silhouettes, solids and styles that are anything but trendy. But also that they have such a transparent and thoughtful business model.  Their factories are some of the same that make your favorite designer brands, and Everlane makes sure that they comply with fair wages, safe working conditions and reasonable hours.

The first outfit is best for those rainier, stormy summer days, and perhaps a more casual office environment. This black linen shirt is such a great staple that I would wear with white jeans or denim cutoffs. A trench is obviously a no-brainer, MUST own and this one is great and only $138 (but size down- I’m wearing an extra small here!)

I’m also sporting the high rise stretch denim jeans and these gorgeous , feminine Modern Point loafers that I will wear all fall too!

Hey man, a popped collar or two never hurt anyone… LOL.

OK, this dress was a revelation. $100 and fits LIKE A GLOVE, I always have issues with sundresses having straps that are either too long or too short and these are adjustable, and somehow perfect because you can actually wear a bra with it. This pic (and stiff, strange pose I’m rocking) does NOT do this dress justice- it’s SO flattering and wonderful on. The back has smocking so it stretches to fit you just right- I actually may order it in another color I like it that much. I’d wear with heels or wedges for something more formal, but have on the Day Crossover sandal which is THE most comfy sandal I own. I’m ordering the camel color right now, in fact :) Better checkout before I post!

And as you can see IT HAS POCKETS. The holy grail of summer dresses in my opinion. For reference, I’m in a 4.

I will also be LIVING in this sleeveless tee shirt dress on hot days. It’s soooooo comfy and I love the color- especially paired with the denim jacket (also runs quite big, I’m in an extra small here) and a long chunky necklace.

And I will reiterate how comfy these sandals are again with this outfit!
