Creating Amazing Holiday Cards with Minted.

Most years I feel like I’m on top of my holiday game– this year we scrambled to take family photos (last weekend with the fab Sara Grayson) and I’m hustling to get my holiday card order in.  As with most years, I’m using Minted to create stylish, beautiful cards easily (well, the hard part is picking which gorgeous design to use!)

Along with some images I’ve taken myself and those taken by my friend and interiors photog Sarah Winchester, I had a lot of great shots to choose from from our family shoot.  These below are some of my faves….

We attempted to get a cute one in front of our house, but by this time Henry was D-O-N-E. I am sure you mamas can relate! It’s too bad because the colors are so pretty (door is Benjamin Moore Wasabi).

Most of our clothes are older but some sources: ME: Jeans // Shoes  HENRY: Jeans // Shoes // Vest // Sweater

I am particularly fond of Minted’s new vellum overlay cards. They are SO elegant looking, and very bespoke. You can either use your images to layer over, or choose from their curated assortment of unique art prints.  So if you didn’t QUITE get to family photos this year, you can still have amazing cards.

I mocked up two different versions below using our imagery- this first one makes me smile because I feel like the message goes very well with the picture of sweet Henry enjoying his TINY hot chocolate…

This shot was pure MAGIC from our recent shoot for J.Crew Factory, so I had to try a card with that as the hero image and our family pic on the back (I love how you can choose from so many varied layouts).

I also am quite fond of this simple, straightforward printed design (I like to use their extra thick card stock to make them feel really high end).  Adore the stripes (of course) and the collection of images from our family shoot.

Here are some of my other favorite designs they have this year- from foil detail to letterpress (click each card for link).

I also am pretty enchanted with their new wax seal offerings! I used wax seals on our wedding invitations a zillion years ago, and think they may add that special touch to our cards this year, no matter what design I pick.

Tune into my Instagram Stories in a week or two to find out which design I went with! And log on to Minted now to start designing your own holiday card, they are having a 15% off sale until the end of the day today! Also, while supplies last, Minted is giving away a special foil pressed calendar with every purchase to celebrate their 10 year anniversary!

Check back in tomorrow as my first holiday gift guide goes LIVE– “For Home”!
