Inn-spiration.

I was  searching the great interwebs for inspiration last night and came across this darling little inn in Charleston, SC in the new Southern Living Magazine called 86 Cannon.  They showed just a tiny picture of one of the interiors so I had to go research it further and was so pleasantly surprised by the delightful interiors and style of this place! It’s so clean and simple and yet there is great attention to detail by designer Betsy Berry.

The main living area has a fabulous tone on tone wall/fireplace situation (although if that was a marble fireplace mantle I might freak out a little that they painted it.

The cocktail bar area is a great inspiration for a kitchen design– from the cabinetry colors to the brass fixtures and wire inset doors.  And that table is pretty fantastic too!

I love a good painted floor, and this one is exactly perfect.

The simple neutral tones in this guest room are so lovely.  I could see someone wanting their own master bedroom to look like this!

The mix of antique and modern is fabulous.

The bathrooms have a very sleek contemporary feel which lets the more historic elements of the building sing.

A fun, cozy top floor space- great inspiration for that unused attic space in your own house perhaps? wallpapering the ceiling like this makes a space with angled ceilings feel more open and special.

Across form that guest room is an insanely cozy library space.  red grasscloth is something I can;t imagine using… but in this instance it’s awesome!!
