Fashion Friday: Red Hot!

left / right

Here is Boston it went from 50 degrees and rainy to sunny and 94 degrees in a matter of five days. Apparently, we no longer have spring here #helloglobalwarming.  As we say in Boston, it’s been a SCORCHAHHHH.

So now that I’m pulling out all my summer clothes at a rapid clip, I have found that I am really feeling red this season.  In small doses (stripes) and larger ones too (dresses).  From bold orange-red to a more muted earth tone, I think it’s the color of the summer for 2017.  It pairs so brilliantly with denim and camel/nude tones– and a tan (faux or real). So together with Nordstrom I pulled together a mix of looks using this tone in a few variations from casual to dressy.

I ADORE this top- paired with distressed denim, cool wedges and spunky earrings (and don’t forget the festive clutch) you’ve got the perfect summer evening look.

While I’m sure my post-nursing boobs can rock this deep V dress I DREAM of it because I love this look so much.  Great for a night out on the town or a date by the ocean! Wear as shown or dress it up more with a clutch and wedge or block heel sandals.

You can never go wrong with striped and denim. E-V-E-R.  For a little sass pair with these leopard espadrilles (I NEED THEM NOW) and great summer basics like this canvas and leather bucket bag, gold hoops and timeless watch.

SHOP THE LOOK:

A beautiful and simple fit and flare dress meets its match with super fun earrings, a woven clutch and nude leg-lengthening heels (a staple).  I love the look of the tones in this palette (great for traveling) and when wearing a bold color, be sure to keep the nails neutral.
