There is a clear consensus among fashion-focused ladies that this summer is “the summer of the printed wrap dress”. And the best news is that it works for ANY age and body type! On the young gals (OMG I sound like a granny) it’s more of a mini wrap style, the middle aged gals like myself more of a midi style and the mature set a more tailored, less “deep V” style. The nipped in waist and flared skirt are flattering on almost any body type and brands are producing this in a wide range of styles and sizes (and prices- one of these dresses below is $25!) I’m partial to the floral and polka dot variety, clearly. :)
And to add on to the versatility of this style of dress is your ability to wear it just about anywhere, from brunch with friends to the office and even a more formal event! Need tips on how to style it? Here you go!
Weekend: A simple denim jacket, chunky heeled sandals and funky gold hoops.
Office: A cropped blazer, classic heels (I adore this style) and subtle pearl drop earrings.
Event: A crisp white linen blazer, statement earrings and awesome gold strappy heels.

I just bought number 12 after your recommendation for a rehearsal dinner, engagement party I’m hosting, and to wear to work. I always get compliments when I wear something from FF – keep them coming!! Also LOVE the new office, it looks amazing. Well done!
I actually own #2. I’m OBSESSED. I get compliments every time I wear it. The only caveat is that you need a full slip underneath as it is completely sheer. Worth it though!
Erin – would you do a style post on nursing-wear? I know it has been a while since you were nursing Henry, but I am constantly struggling with what to wear (especially with summer coming!) while nursing my new baby boy – and pumping at the office. Would love to hear any tips since I love all of your Friday style posts!
Boden is really nice to work with…just so enjoy the summer swirl of those dresses!! franki
I use fashion tape on top and bottom – generally keeps everything where I want it to be!
It’s an anomaly that my favorite dress is the least expensive (#2 = $25 what?!) and then I checked out the site and found a treasure trove of super fun and super affordable dresses for summertime rotation. What is this Sheln?! Loving! Good share thanks!
I know, right! I just ordered 4 dresses from them. Never heard of them before.
I think two is my fave- such pretty finds!

My problem with wrap dresses (I love them) is keeping them closed enough on the bottom to not flash people (think wind draft, leaving a car, etc.). Sew in a snap for that too?
Hmmm, I think something is going on with the link for #7. It is my favorite!

Question – I think wrap dresses are lovely and recently purchased one from Boden. I am struggling with keeping it office appropriate on the top though – I feel like I am constantly making sure my chest isn’t falling out! The dress fits everywhere else. Any tips?
Hey there, I have the same issue with wrap dresses but love them for the office — I usually wear a tank or a cami under the dress for that purpose.
I like to sew in a little snap right where I want it to close! :)
