Amazing Etsy Lighting

There are a lot of gorgeous light fixtures out there- many of which are so absurdly expensive.  I’d LOVE to have me a Lindsey Adelman fixture in my house, but seeing as they are as much as a car, that won’t be happening.  But there are so many artisans who make similar style works on Etsy- and THEN some, as it turns out! Here’s a fun roundup of some of the incredible fixtures you can find on the site:

  1. I ordered mini-sputnik from Lucent Light shop a few weeks ago and just installed it this weekend in our new house. It’s so well-built, looks amazing up and Sarah (the shop owner) was so easy to work with — I couldn’t recommend her stuff more.

  2. I’d love to get a Sputnik fixture for our living room–just trying to convince my spouse that he’ll love it!

  3. Just today, I had a similar Dutton Brown (#11) urchin fixture installed (mine has crystals instead of balls), and I love it! I actually saw your post this morning, but I wanted to wait until after my fixture was hung to comment. I love having something so distinctive in my home, adding a bit of edge to my mostly traditional style (and I also love finally having light in my living room after a year of searching for the right fixture to replace the one the sellers took down before they marketed the house). I have a few other fixtures from Etsy sellers — TripleSevenHome is another favorite, although they appear to be temporarily closed right now.

  4. Wow – wish I’d seen #1 before I did the Lindsey Adelman DIY light kit – it’s stunning! (But my DIY light isn’t too bad, either, if I do say so myself!!)

  5. I also bought a large sputnik from Lucent and agree, the quality is excellent and Sarah’s service was delightful! The price is a steal.

  6. Hi Erin,
Just chiming in to say I hope you take a nice long maternity leave from the blog. I have always admired how you continue to post daily, for as long as I’ve been reading you (7 years??) and I know you are a workhorse but as a longtime reader I feel you deserve this time away and I hope you don’t think twice about stopping for a while. (But I will anxiously await your return… when you are ready). :)

    1. I plan to take the week (week and a half?) of his birth off and then post 2-3 times a week until I feel I can come back full time. I am going to have my two fab assistants post some too to keep things interesting. :)
