Fahsion Friday: Classically Chic.

I felt super inspired by the spread in the most recent WSJ Magazine of Daria Werbowy in some super classic yet glamorous fall styles.  I love the ladylike meets edgy look, but all with classic lines and materials.  See ya later scuba suit skirts and giant layers of statement jewelry, let’s welcome back silk, denim, leather, simple jewelry and (faux) fur!  See hoe to get the look after checking out the inspiration….

P.S. I’m also loving her hair cut and color. I need a good new style SOON.

  1. I was first drawn to the hair because it looks so soft and natural. Everything about this look is just so simple, ladylike, and just plain pretty. The textures, too, are perfect for fall. Thanks for sharing :)

  2. OH girl, this outfit is so chic. I would love love love to wear it. I dig your fashion friday posts so much!

  3. So crazy that I cut the third picture down out of the WSJ magazine on Sunday and posted it to my inspiration board! I had already decided that this was my go-to look for fall. Equipment shirts, skinny jeans (to heck with R29 for posting that they are on their way out!), aviators (always) and loafers. Just need a cool LV or Hermes belt. Love that we think alike and that I can count on a fabulous Fashion Friday post from you every week!

  4. Have you seen these yet? shttp://www.neimanmarcus.com/Stuart-Weitzman-50-50-Calf-Hair-Over-the-Knee-Boot-Stuart-Weitzman-Shoes/prod163510231___/p.prod?icid=&searchType=MAIN&rte=%252Fsearch.jsp%253FpageSize%253D30%2526N%253D4294914351%252B%2526Ntt%253DStuart%252BWeitzman%252BShoes&eItemId=prod163510231&cmCat=search
I saw them and thought of you. I’m so into the 50/50 boot and can’t wait to buy myself a pair!

  5. I’d love to see you use that knock out jacket in a future styling post showing it five ways … jeans yes, but what about a pencil skirt? You could have so much fun with that jacket… also perfect for book tour on cooler days.

  6. I’ve had this sitting on my library desk after snatching it from the paper on Monday when I came in-love the entire look! (All librarians should dress like this and then maybe we could save libraries! :)

  7. fur and tank top does look like a hoe

“See hoe to get the look after checking out the inspiration….”

  8. I love silk tops lately. I’ve been buying them every time I see a great one. Of course it’s hot as hell in Houston so I roll the sleeves up and wear them with shorts right now. At least they can transition into fall.

  9. The fur may be faux but the look inspires people to go for the real thing. So I’ll have to pass on that.

  10. Love this look! Check out Tom Ford Spanish pink lipstick. It is my nude go to shade and we have similar coloring so I think you would love it.
