Fashion Friday: Fashion Week & Looking Ahead

It’s that time again-Fashion Week!  While all I want to do is think about spring, we can also look towards next fall/ winter so we make smart purchases THIS winter (which is never ending and horrible).  Here are some of my favorite looks from the shows:

Veronica Beard: LOVE LOVE LOVE, especially that dress!

J.Mendel: This gown is SO COOL and HAS to come down the Oscar’s red carpet, maybe on Cate Blanchett?

Carolina Herrera: A beautiful, flowy gown with embellishments.

Sophie Theallet (l) and Milly (r) prove party pants will still be big next fall.

Ralph Lauren: Of course, classic lines prevail.  I love the combo of chasmere turtleneck and sexy maxi skirt for evening.

Badgley Mischka: A leopard gown? Yes please. The look at right is a realistic, glamorous concept for a night out.

Badgley Mischka’s gold and white gown is another good one for the Oscars and well as this modern Lela Rose at right.

Jenny Packham: A jeweled sweatshirt mixed with a beaded evening skirt is fun while this insanely gorgeous gown at right should be another red carpet star.

Juan Carlos Obando: Jewel tones and sexy draping.

Here are a few items that you can wear now and that will still be in style next fall!

  1. I love the gray turtleneck and skirt combo – I just don’t think I’d have anywhere that glamorous to go! And is it just me, or is it totally depressing that we are already thinking about fashion for NEXT fall? (I mean I totally get that’s how it works…but still.)

  2. That black Jenny Packham gown is strikingly gorgeous. You should become a stylist for the redcarpet. Seriously. You always seem to find interesting fashion forward gowns while more than half the time I’m disappointed in what the “stars” end up wearing. I’m looking forward to the Oscars, and of course your spot on recap!

  3. With havin so much content do you ever run into any problems of plagorism or
copyright violation? My website has a lot of exclusive content
I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it appears a
lot of it is popping it up all over the web without my authorization.

Do you know any ways to help prevent content from being ripped off?
    I’d truly appreciate it.

  4. A person necessarily lend a hand to make significantly articles I would state.
This is the very first time I frequented your website
page and to this point? I amazed with the analysis you made
to make this actual put up incredible. Fantastic job!

  5. Greetings from Colorado! I’m bored to tears at work so I
decided to browse your blog on my iphone during lunch break.
I really like the knowledge you provide here and can’t wait to take a look when I get home.
I’m shocked at how fast your blog loaded on my cell phone ..

I’m not even using WIFI, just 3G .. Anyhow,
    superb blog!
