Fashion Friday: In the Bag

It’s a holiday weekend so many of you will be packing up to venture off to beaches or mountains (or your sofa).  I have been packing a lot lately- for trips, the gym or weekend day trips and I thought it would be fun to post the things I find essential to have in each type of bag!

weekendbag

For this one I left out outfits, which always change,  but these are the things that are always with me in addition to too many pairs of shoes and tops: 1. Who doesn’t love Hanky Panky? 2. Comfy summer jammies 3. A few people asked me what I used for my eye makeup in this pic and it’s this kit which I am currently loving, and it’s easy to pack! 4. Can’t go away without my laptop- this case for it is adorable 5. Simple lipgloss/ balm, am not a bold lip gal 6. A long pendant dresses up anything you’ve packed  7. My lifeline- a fun iPhone charger  8. Argan oil takes off stubborn makeup, is an amazing moisturizer and help hair stay frizz free- I bring it everywhere 9. A jean jacket goes with everything in the spring! A must  10. I always have a scarf with me, I am obsessed with this one  11. The perfect flat, I wear these all the time- so Chanel without the price tag.  12. DRY SHAMPOO! Always!  13. A simple tote with my monogram and leather accents.

beachbag

Of course I bring snacks, water (sometimes other beverages) and scads of magazines, but in addition here are my beach bag musts: 1. The most FAB coverup for running to the beach bar  2. I DIE over this beach towel, it’s TOO awesome  3. Comfy flat sandals  4. A stylish hat to keep the sun away  5. LOVE this Calypso bikini  6. My favorite sunglasses  7. For a little bronze glow, I am never without this compact  8. SPF 30 that smells and feels amazing  9. The best face sunscreen- after years of sun bathing I need some serious laser pointed at my face.  This keeps things from getting worse! 10. Pre-order this book, I got a preview copy and it was so good! 11. I am actually really obsessed with this one piece (haven’t had a tank suit in decades but I might have to get this)  12. An adorable raffia bag complete with stripes and pom poms!

gymbag

Always toting my gym bag around in the hopes I’ll actually GET to the gym: 1. THE MOST AWESOME SWEATSHIRT EVER. I wear mine a disturbing amount. 2. A cute yoga top that supports enough to take a jog in too 3. Hair ties (leopard, of course) 4. Black yoga pants, always  5. Post workout multi-use stick for cheeks and lips, so you look cute on your way home or going to work  6. Some Nike kicks with gold and orange? HELLO. 7. Dying over these crystal leopard earbuds  8. My current favorite concealer/ highlighter to dab on after your workout. It does wonders!  9. Completely devoted to these face wipes/ makeup removers- they really are the best. 10. A cute water bottle  11. My own gym tote- the LL Bean Camo Boat and Tote Bag (add a monogram in a color!)

  1. Love all these suggestions. I bought the ancient greek sandals from your last post about them and am in love with them – SO comfortable and cute. Can you tell us where that yoga top is from? Thanks!

  2. I see that the sweatshirt is on sale…very tempting, especially because I woke up to it being in the 40’s outside! Ohio never seems to understand how to do weather. Today it’s sunny and 50-ish, but Monday it’s going to be raining and 80? I think that calls for a comfy sweatshirt!

  3. I think you’ve covered almost everything! Love how you narrowed it down to the essentials – my dad gets mad if I make him carry my bags for me on family vacays!

  4. Do you like the Shiseido sunscreen for under makeup everyday as well? I’m in the Market for a new one!

  5. so, where does one get a fun iphone charger?? Am I the only nerd with a white one? It’s kind of sad how wide my eyes got with excitement about a bedazzled charger.

  6. FYI that LLBean Camo tote is 20% off until Wednesday the 29th on the website. I’ve had mine for years and I love it!

  7. Where are the leopard ear bids from? Link posted takes me to the iPhone charger. Thanks!!

  8. I like the helpful info you supply for your articles.
I’ll bookmark your blog and check once more here regularly. I am slightly sure I’ll learn many new stuff
right here! Good luck for the following!
