Art or Wallpaper?

With the Karla Davidson collection of watercolor wallpapers from Black Crow Studio you don’t need to decide between the two because the wallpaper IS art. It might be too crazy for some, but I am LOVING it! Especially this application of it by designer Robert Passal at the Hamptons Designer Showhouse (also featuring peach and emerald, a color combo Pantone said is big for fall!)

So awesome and so different. I think a kids room or a powder room with high ceilings would be incredible in one of these papers!

Not ready to commit to a whole wall? You can buy canvas prints of these watercolors on their site! LOVE!

Also pretty much obsessed with the spin art huge scale prints they sell from Cuff Home.

Awesome!!! Reminds me of the Danish royal family home renovation, only I always thought that was actual watercolor on the walls.

Gorgeous. I have my eye on a watercolor canvas. Great price for the size.
    Thanks.

Team up with Tracy and make some beautiful “art” of your own! I blogged about doing it (ya know, back when I blogged :), http://relishsmallpleasures.blogspot.com/2010/04/black-crow-studios.html, and still haven’t bit the bullet. I love the idea though!! Definitely pushing some peach and emerald for fall as well.

    Beautiful wallpaper.

  6. I am loving those large water colors! I am helping to pick out art for a new office space and these might be perfect! Dynamic, without being “specific”.

I love the lilac ones! But I think I would personally go for the canvases… I’m a bit of a wuss when it comes to these things :)

This is…genius! In the past I’ve framed a piece of beautiful fabric for a wall when considering something “more permanent,” but these wallpapers…WOW! franki

  9. Wow those wall papers are amazing! I have been looking for a bright, hand-painted looking wallpaper for a client and I am definitely going to check those out. I think its awesome how they are so playful, but can also be formal too.

i used the same black crow studios wallpaper in a gorgeous blue on a screen i made for my LCDQ window display, and just about cried after we applied it. so gorgeous (it’s the button for my portfolio on my blog if you want to see it).

tracy and i have collaborated again, and i’ll be using her wallpaper in my california home + design showhouse bath. it’s *totally* different than the marbled watercolor paper (hard-edged and op art-ish) , but still straddles the line between art & wallpaper! black crow studios simply kicks butt.
