Sneak Peek: Walls & Ceilings

We have been working on a big project in Boston’s charming Beacon Hill for about a year so far. A historic single family townhome now owned by a very cool and VERY fun young couple movin’ here from Manhattan. I cannot tell you how friggin’ excited I get to see progress on this studs-in renovation. Like, jump up and down clapping my hands and squealing aloud kind of excited.  No matter how good one’s vision is, seeing a design come to life is seriously a thrill. These may not look like much to you, but to me they are CRACK.

A family bathroom decked in Scalamandre’s zebra wallpaper. I have waited my WHOLE DAMN CAREER to use this paper and so I am doing cartwheels seeing it in the family/guest bath!

What’s that? Oh just super high gloss F&B Hague Blue on the walls and champagne O&L Coronata star paper on the ceiling. That’s all. (BOO to the friggin’ YA)

The nursery which will be REDONK cute in orange and pink.

And the family room/den with trim in F&B Down Pipe and tonal grasscloth (grey, navy and natural). There will be a bevy of brass and leather in here and it will be bananas.

The bones of this space are just so gorgeous it makes my work easy….look at those floors!

For another dose of fun the ostrich wallpaper in the powder room with glossy black trim and vintage mirror (ignore my heinous self)

Can you understand how fun it is to work with these people now?? :)

  1. First of all, I LOVE your blog.

I am obsessed with the zebra and ostrich wallpapers you chose for the bathrooms. AND I love the stars on the ceiling – my mom (also an interior designer, but retired) has the same thing in her dining room! I can’t wait to see this house when its done! :)

  2. I think I’ve said it a million times but I’m going to say it again- you’re work is so inspiring! You do such a complete and beautiful job on your homes!!! Gorgeous! Seriously, gorgeous! Congrats!

  3. I noticed the Zebra wallpaper before (in the color tan) on the Ansley Interiors website. I think I like the green better :)
