Hopelessly Addicted

Dear Navy and White Stripes,

I seriously do not know how to quit you.

Love,

Erin

(For reals. If I buy one more striped shirt I think I may be committed.)

  1. Truly inspiring images Erin! You are always really good at finding great images for your readers to be inspired of. Thx.

just before I could’ve been committed, i moved onto orange and white stripes! i’ll stay with that for awhile until the ocd kicks in on that combo and I have to move to another :)

  3. cara says:

Ekkk! I would love that car!

  4. Igor says:

I second that and remain a hopeless addict myself! A little sailor within!

  5. Navy and White stripes are such a classic pattern! I love them, they remind me of summers at my cottage.

  6. HA HA! I love this post. I think I’m with you on your last confession. I have a stack of them in the closet and all I can think about is how I need more because one has a hole, the other isn’t long enough, etc.

Oh god, you just spoke for me. It’s such a problem. It’s getting to the point where I can’t even distinguish if something is cute/pretty/actually appealing, I just see the stripes and I’m instantly sold.

  10. so classic, and somehow always looks fresh every spring!

Great post! I love me some navy and white stripes, too. Any idea where the trench coat is from in the second to last picture?? I. Must. Have!

  12. Lisa says:

haha i love this combo on other people but it’s just a little too cliche prep for me

I have the same problem… BUT every time I buy a striped shirt one of my sisters comes over and sneaks it out of my closet and I never see it again. So yea, I buy many but have none!

  14. Such beautiful images, Erin!
    Happy Monday.

I love blue and white stripes! so classic. i need that guest/kids bedroom at some point in my life.

p.s. i immediately sent this to my roommate, because she has a similar stripes-addiction. i (and her mom, actually!) yell at her every time she buys a new one!

ERIN, love love love your post! I’ve made stripes my life’s work – and would love you to check out http://www.stripedshirt.com. Navy and white, and 13 other color combos right now. I’d love to get you a shirt to try. Seriously. Love the post, and all the amazing pics!

With you all the way I am completely addicted to striped jersey. I also want to do a horizontal striped hallway – DH not keen. My excuse (if one was ever needed) is that I live by the sea…. I am just as hopelessly committed to navy & red stripes too. Also bought a navy and yellow striped boat neck at the beginning of the year. As I am expecting I’m hoping/planning for a coastal/nautical nursery. Striped ceiling is the plan for us….

  34. Carolyn says:

Story of my life, to a T. It’s getting to be disgusting but there’s just something so classically perfect about them that they’re totally irresistible.

  35. Katrina says:

aahhh me too! all the cute dresses pictured- where can i get them?!

  36. Jennifer Slattery says:

I have been doing the same since December 2010 with black and white stripes! What is wrong with me? I have too many shirts and shirt dresses now! I am so not creative. But they are so simple and classic!
