Fashion (& Beauty) Friday: Currently Loving…

Some things I’ve been currently really loving in the way of beauty and fashion….

I am HELLA lazy about washing my face at night.  It’s terrible. My pillowcase is always smudged with mascara…until now! I discovered Burt’s Bees Cleansing Towlettes! I looooove these things- they smell fantastic, take everything off and somehow make my skin feel so soft in the morning!

I recently bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 palette and while I’m not nuts about it, I AM nuts about the sample gloss it came with, their Lip Junkie in Naked. The perfect natural color and shine with an awesome peppermint taste and tingle. Going out to buy the big size!

This Chanel inspired jacket from J.Crew has actual chain sewn on the trim. Tough meets ladylike. I dig it.

I saw this Goyard wood trimmed clutch at Barney’s the the other day and almost died. Imagine it with their signature stripes and monogram. I’d carry nothing else. To bad it’s like $2,500.

Something about the Zara dress screams “you’ll have a fun night out in me!!!”

I saw these Rag & Bone tuxedo jeans in NYC the other day and I would LOVE them paired with a black blazer, sexy pumps and some statement jewels. SO fun!

I’ve tried a few dry shampoos (being someone who washes her hair every three days but works out) and they always leave me with powdery George Washington hair. Except for this one by Suave! Love the smell and it doesn’t make my hair feel full of junk, just a bit cleaner!

For some reason, I have like NO earrings.  Its something I never think to buy unless I need a specific pair for an event.  I saw these awesome Alexis Bittar ones and thought “I need those”. Simple but sparkly and elongating for the face and neck. But of course, I did not buy them. I tend to spend no more than $50 on earrings. That’s a lie, I usually spend $5 at H&M.

  1. Love that jacket! And I’ve been looking for a good dry shampoo too. I tried the Tre Semme one and it was awful. Thanks for the tip!

That jacket it AMAZING! I love it! And I will definitely need to try those towelettes. I’m a sucker for good ones (can you say lazyyy) haha.
    Have a lovely weekend!

    Hey Erin,

If you like dry shampoo, try the one from Klorane. You will love it! You can see it here:

I have literally heard all the people who have tried it only say good things about it. I use also their normal shampoos and they are great:)

    Thanks for your tips also:)

  4. I love your finds! I have never tried dry shampoo but I just may go out and get some now! :-) Urban Decay products are another thing I have never tried, but have been recommended by so many of my friends. Thanks for sharing!

  5. I absolutely cannot live without face towelettes. I’m super lazy about washing my face too and these have really helped! I keep a pack in my nightstand drawer.

YES!!! Those Burt’s Bees Towelettes are amazing. LOVE ‘EM! I laughed at this post because I too leave last night’s mascara on my white pillow cases…so lazy. Have you tried BB’s baby oil? It’s delish. I mix it with my non-scented body lotion and it seriously makes my skin the softest it’s ever been!

I’m totally crushing on the J. Crew jacket. You’re right…it’s so very Chanel and the earrings are a must-have. Love your picks, Erin.

mmmmm….the green Zara dress! Love that exposed zipper!!

Try the yes to cucumber towelettes – they are the best! Also I wish I could buy $5 earrings, I just can never bring myself to do it, although I stockpile on T-shirts, tanks and scarfs at H&M.

You should try Blinc mascara – I have used it for years – I wish it was around when I was in college! It will completely reform your mascara on the pillow problem – and it’s genius on lower lashes and for late nights – no more raccoon eyes and it washes off with no mess.

  14. I wish Zara fit me better, I am currently wearing one of their new tops and while I love it’s look I feel like something off on the fit – annoying. I love make up remover wipes by Neutrogena (both bedtime & everyday) get the job done quick since I am lazy with that routine as well. I own that JCrew blazer & it’s fab – def get it!

  15. Burt’s Bees Cleansing Towlettes are the best. So glad you are enjoying them as much as I am.
They are perfect for the gym, vacations and night you just don’t want to wash your face.

  16. Franki Parde says:

Do you ever read: Here: That jacket SCREAMS YOU! franki

Thanks for the dry shampoo recommendation–I tried one of the other drugstore brands and it left my hair feeling gross and got all over my hairbrush. I’ll give this one a try!

  18. deb says:

i’m with you on burts bees towelettes. i use them all the time, especially after the gym. and i also love their mango and orange body butter (smells delish and actually works to moisturize!). i will take your recommendation on suave dry shampoo.. i hate washing my hair because it gets so dry, but need to -or should- after a sweaty workout!

  19. Neda says:

I have the same problem and need to try the Burt’s Bees towelettes. Sometimes I even wake up with raccoon eyes and it scares my poor 3 year old so I think he’ll appreciate this even more than me! Have a great weekend!

  20. Jamie says:

I’ll have to try that dry shampoo. I always have the same George-Washington-hair problem!
