Kerri Russell & ABC Home

I really loved the laid back approachability of Kerri Russell’s Brooklyn home as shown in the current Elle Decor.  Not only is the raw space amazing (are you SEEING that molding in the living room?) but also the fact that she mixed goods from high end showrooms (like those insane Ochre chandeliers I would murder for) with stuff hand made by her husband from wood reclaimed from barns and dumpsters! I’ve been saying for months that if I finally do buy my home, I am doing everything in white, black, grey and natural wood. A clean, crisp but relaxing scheme that will give me respite from my days spent with dizzying pattern and color.  This home is such an inspiration for me!

The images of her home (and the resource lists) reminded me of my trip to ABC Carpet and Home during Blogfest.  If I had a gun to my head and had to decide on one place to decorate my house right now I’d pick ABC (and then I’d ninja kick whomever was decor-assaulting me).  Seriously, ABC is my version of Mecca and if you haven’t gone you really, really must make a pilgrimage!

A snapped just a couple things while there…like this amazing venetian glass chandelier that was the lightest of blues (and $10k)

And this beyond fabulous John Derian bench with small back and this dining table I would sell my soul for…

A nice collection of cloche jars and stone accents…

Beakers and drawers…

Such an amazing color combo- navy, blush, taupe and cream. Inspired to design a room around this…

GOLD flatware, how I love thee….

How about these pink chairs up in Madeline Weinrib’s showroom? Uh-huh.

Here’s some of my favorite things shown on their website:

  2. I’m lusting over those chairs in her living room! Those copper pendant orbs on the ABC Home website are pretty cool too.

  3. Yep… ABC is everyone’s favorite store and so fun break up the browsing with a chic and delicious lunch downstairs. A downtown fantasy place. Did you know Madeline Weinrib is great grand daughter of founder?

I love ABC- I could spend an entire day in that store!

  9. Wow to that John Derian bench, which must be new or limited edition ’cause it’s not on his website. I also like that striped fabric-covered trunk with the leather handles.

Just went this past saturday. I got prices on some color reform rugs and had to really way out the options for a couple days…save up for a house with the boyfriend OR color reform rug HMMMMMMM

  15. Kathleen says:

Kerri’s place is my dream pad, except for that that shag rug in the LR. That baby might shed like the one in your BR, Erin (referring to your 5/24 post). I had one of those nightmare rugs, courtesy of Pottery Barn. It actually shed MORE than my Golden Retriever did. The first and last time I EVER bought a rug online.

  16. I love ABC…wish there was one in LA!!!! <3 that living room :)

  17. Oh I love Keri Russell! So it is no surprise that I love, love, love her home too! Sooo pretty. I love the modern twists.
