I am SO sick of wrapping up in my wool scarves to protect myself from the New England chill. I am so looking forward to swapping them out for hip-once-again silk scarves this spring! Shown on the DKNY Spring 2011 runway in spades, the lady-like accessory is being styled in fresher, youthful ways this season. I can’t wait to dig into the collection of vintage ones my mother -in-law gave me (including a killer green and white Hermes number).
I am currently cross-eyed CRAZY for the scarves of British sensation Jane Carr. These would dress up ANY outfit!
Some fab ways to wear the silk scarf!

I love Jane Carr’s scarves. The prints are really beautiful.
LOVE the knotted scarf worn as a necklace! Anything that does double duty has my stamp of approval!
So glad people are realizing that scarves aren’t just for winter.
love it as a necklace…xo
What great timing! Just yesterday I wore an old silk scarf of my mom’s that I hadn’t pulled out in years. Who knew I was so hip and timely – first time ever, I assure you. :) And soon enough it will warm up in Boston – until then, there is wine!! Have a great weekend!
I love wearing scarves, hopefully this little trend will never go out of style. These are beautiful, I’ll definitely be adding some silks to my collection this year.
the old saying is true – everything old is new again. i used to wear a scarf constantly in high school – wrapped the same -i’m actually happy to see them on the runway again. perfect!
Love that silky scarves are so hot now. Ci have a ton and can’t wait to wear them. Great scarf tips!

Scarves are fantastic. They can really lift an outfit. I have a large collection dating back to the 80s. The only issue I have is where to store them all. I love hunting round the stalls in france to find beautiful vintage ones.
I have got to pull out the scarf drawer. Thanks.

hooray for scarves! I have been compulsively collecting vintage scarves for ages, and have been relishing the fact that I, too, can swap out my ‘winter’ scarves for spring. . .only thing is, sometimes I’m stumped on how to wear them in a fresh way. I’m not a fan of wearing a ‘bib’ in front. other than that – I’m completely on board! :) thanks for the round-up!
I have been OBSESSED with scarves lately. Whether its cute little vintage scarves or long comfy (but fashionable) warm weather scarves. Thanks for this post — it makes me feel less obsessive and on the “right” track. :)
I am just wondering if you have ever credited the sources of the images that you put on your site? I’ve noticed that the majority of your images are not credited nor are they linked to their original source. thank you for reading this. cheers.
Huh. I confess I have a little problem… I don’t really know how to wear a scarf properly but I have to say that these images got me inspired. I particularly like the second picture with the knotted style… very clever. Will give it a go!
