There are some blogs that just make you laugh out loud. My Favorite and My Best is one of the best at accomplishing that. I adore Jenny’s take on design and her blunt delivery (and NSFW language). So I asked her for her favorite product and of course, she put her own hilarious spin on it:

hey element readers…
i am old. and i have used a lot of mascara in my time. but i always come back to this:
diorshow mascara in rich black
here are it’s key awesome components:
#1 it smells like roses!!
#2 it never clumps. except when it starts to get old, which is right around 3 months- then i toss it and get a new one.
#3 it separates beautifully.
#4 i never get raccoon eyes.
#5 it washes off with whatever i wash my face with.
#6 my eyes smell like fucking roses!!!!!!!!!
word.
thanks erin.
i love sharing my fave things…
xo

Great reasons to love it!
I love people who just tell it like it is:) Must try this mascara, I want my eyes to smell like ahmmmm, roses:)

I love his blog and read it religiously but I cannot stand these product posts. Are they purchased editorial? They aren;t funny, inspired or interesting. Please rethink for your readers…
MLP- perhaps you are using the clumpy type of mascara making it virtually impossible for you to see that i am a HER not a HIM!
thanks again for having me erin. i heartfart you!!

LOVE the product posts.
My daughter swears by Dior mascara. It is expensive but the best.

I’ve been wanting to try this mascara for a while, but heard mixed reviews. Now that I know my eyes could smell rosy, I might have to try it! haha
Erin, I love your Product Junkie posts…keep ‘em up!
LOVE me some Jenny!!!!
LOVE the product posts- got the L’Oreal mascara last week and for the first time in my life don’t have black under my eyes at the end of the day. Please keep it up!
p.s. and lurve me some MFAMB
I have to agree with MLP on this one. Your blog is also a daily read for me, but it feels like much of it has turned into sponsor and product posts. No one faults you for the occasional sponsor post, but I liked it better when you offered some additional, original content on the days when you acknowledged new sponsors. There feels like there has been a major shortage on home and design coverage.
Totally agree with Kate and MLP, you just don’t seem too into the blogging thing anymore Erin sorry, kind of losing the heart of what made it a daily read for me! Just some feedback but I think you are fabulous so wish you success in all that you do!

I heart Jenny’s blog. I’ve never tried Dior mascara, but will keep it in mind next time I need a new one.
Erin-
I have been meaning to tell ya that I am loving the product Junkies posts! I used to be a makeup artist and I totally miss it, it makes me feel like Im just hanging with the girls talkin products! I purchased the nail top coat and its Bomb!
Love this mascara and MFAMB
I LOVE the diorshow mascara – discovered it by accident and now would never be without!
I love Jenny’s blog! She is really very funny – and you always know where she stands-my kind of girl! Anyway, Erin, love the Product Junkies feature because I’m sick to death of spending money on products that do not deliver! I’m happy to hear reviews from real people, not editors of beauty mags. And another thing, I really like the diversity of your blog and how you mix things up. I’m feeling that all of the subjects you cover are a reflection of you and I think you are interesting!
I mentioned before how much I suck at buying new beauty products, so this serious has been loads helpful. Will soon purchase this mascara. Then again, I pretty much fall for anything Jenny says.
Sometimes I don’t think people realize how time consuming blogging really is and I like that you mix it up. Don’t stop this serious and wish you’d post more “What I’m Wearing.”
This mascara is new to me and I will try anything Jenny recommends! Good to visit your lovely blog.
Love your blog and MFAMBs blog too. Thanks for all the work you put into it!
LMAO @ Jenny’s response: “MLP- perhaps you are using the clumpy type of mascara making it virtually impossible for you to see that i am a HER not a HIM!”
Love MFAMB.
Love EOS.
Love how you still manage to post daily considering how incredibly busy you are. Let the haters hate. They seem to live for it, don’t they?
I can’t wait to try this!! Also, I love reading MFAMB!
erin, i love this new series on the blog – i don’t have time to read beauty mags and sift through what is the real deal! so i love hearing what to buy from people who swear by the products. thanks for keeping us entertained!!
hurray for a post by our jenny gal! of COURSE her lashes smell like roses – maybe i’ll get myself some of this MFAMB-recommended mascara so i can have rosy-smelling eyes, too!
xox,
susan
p.s. – nice blog. this is my first visit, so i’m sure my vote doesn’t count, but i love all your product reviews by real people. and your snarky readers? they make me glad i don’t have any readers!
Jenny turned me on to the magic that is Dior Show, and I absolutely love it. I can’t afford to buy it regularly, however, except for every December to give one to Jenny for her birfday.
Love the Product Junkies Posts!!!
I just noticed I wrote serious twice when I intended to write series. Doh. Told ya it was my LAUSD education.
Seriously- I was just googling and polling friends about the perfect mascara…Darn raccoon eyes have gotten the best of me. And the Diorshow has come up repeatedly. Jenny and the roses sealed the deal for me! I’m off to the mall………….
Oh– JFTR….I LOVE product placement editorials- thank you!
I adore jenny – she always has me laughing while reading her blog!
