Properly Vetted

I am totally bananas for the renovated Atlanta home that will soon house a new womens clothing boutique called Vetted come October.  Forget McMansions and huge sprawling estates, all I want in life is a teeny little house that looks like this! Seriously! I’d do dark wood floors personally, but I am just mad for the amazing glamorous styling job these people did- the black exterior with white trim and yellow door, the whitewashed interior with black trim and white chandeliers! Yes, please. On my next visit to Hotlanta to see my brother I’m going to be sure to stop in and see it in person (and maybe pick up something from Thread Social, Myne, Geren Ford or any of their other lines).

Atlanta is full of this style home, many of them stylishly updated. Residential architecture in Atlanta’s intown neighborhoods is absolutely inspiring, in homes of all sizes and styles. Nothing more fun than exploring neighborhoods when the dogwoods and redbuds are blooming and end up with lunch or drinks over at Howell Mill.

I think Vetted is on East Paces Ferry.

Brilliant job. Congrats to whoever stood strong and got this done in this design.

  7. Love me those little bungalows in Atlanta. Although I adore my Beacon Hill apartment I still miss my little Atlanta bungalow in VA-Hi. Which now doesn’t seem so little after seeing Boston spaces.

  8. The exterior is beautiful! I love the idea of housing a boutique in a bunglaow.

  9. Never thought of a yellow door but here it is lovely. Beautiful structure!

As soon as I saw the photo, I knew it was Atlanta, but now that I know it is, I can honestly say I am so happy to live here right now! (that never happens.) I can’t wait to see it!

I couldn’t agree with you more! I have been wanting to find the perfect house like this in Pasadena, CA to do the black with white trim and a pastel front door! Love the white interior too – but I agree, I would do a dark floor. Beautiful!

  16. Can’t wait to go check it out. They did a great job with the space!

  17. Jessica says:

if you’re ever out here on the west coast, you HAVE to stop in! the owner, lori, had always dreamed of opening a home and gift shop in this house…and her dream came true a couple of years ago. her sense of style is incredible. you would die.
