Call me crazy, but I have long wanted a painting of my furbabies Bax and Ollie. Not like a realistic oil painting of them posed and dressed as Sherlock Holmes and Watson or anything- but a funky, fun piece of art that represents my silly love bugs who bring me more joy than I can even put into words. No one is ever as happy to see me when I walk in the door than those two, and their funny antics, unconditional love and snuggles have gotten me through many a tough moment. In my opinion, owning a dog is one of the best parts of life. So when Modern Bird Studios contacted me about doing a giveaway and offering to create a super cool painting of any photograph I wanted, I knew it was time to turn my smelly little fellas into art!
Greg and Megan take a photo and using a combination of digital process and hand painting they produce a funky two color modern work of art on oak composite. Check out my own masterpiece!

I have yet to decide where to hang it, probably in the studio, but I LOVE it! I think this style of work would be fabulous in a nursery, family room or kids bedroom! I this these paintings are truly breathtaking. I love the silkscreened/vinatge photograph feel to them. I would love to have one made of an old photograoh of my parents taken right after they were married and display it in my home as a forever keepsake.
holy cow, is that you? isn’t it funny when you finally get a face with a name? you are so cute! and thin. not sure I can like you. nonetheless, i love your art, and it just so happens that your black pup looks so much like our pup, except, our pup has quite the underbite. if i can find a pic, i’m going to just show you, AND my MIL’s dog, looks strikingly like your white pup. i’m really not kidding, or sucking up. i was surprised, indeed!
