Design Crush: Timothy Whealon

I fell head over heels for Timothy Whealon’s summer home shown in Elle Decor this month! The exterior is classic New England beach house style (as I mentioned yesterday) but the interior and the details of the porch and pool are fresh and modern.  I absolutely love every detail- from the blue grass cloth in the entryway, the suzani pillows, the INSANE lucite dining table with vintage chairs and the lounge chairs by the pool with the ceramic elephant tables.

I’ve been looking for ribbon edged roman shades and I can’t find them anymore. Pottery Barn and BBB no longer carries them. Does anyone know where to buy them?

The canopy bed is amazing. And the back deck is more like a living room than a patio.

Does anyone know or have a guess at what color paint that is in the first picture?? I love it and need to decide by tomorrow which “white” shade to paint my living/dining room. I’ve already decided on simply white for all the trim. Thanks!!

Loved this guy’s house too! The best part was when the article said it was furnished from things he had in his storage unit. That is some really great extra stuff!

I feel like every fabric pattern is so spot on and interesting. And, um, that gray caning chair in the first photo is SICK.

Oh, wow. I just love the vines on the walls – stencil or wall paper? – and the order of the garden in front of house, which is also, btw, completely amazing and classic. The pink hydrangeas in the first photo are d-i-v-i-n-e. I want to move in!

Hi! I had to comment because I first saw Tim’s work in House Beautiful (I think) a few years ago…he decorated his sister’s Chicago home and it was the same reaction you have when I first saw it. Her living room is a light pink with fab fabrics – the whole house was just gorgeous! I will have to pore over my issue…thanks for sharing!!
