I’m a teensy-weensy but stressed out these days. And by “teensy-weensy”, I mean ridiculously, jaw-clenchingly so. It’s good stress, but still has me pretty darn exhausted and dreaming of a beach vacation where my only worry is where my next margarita is coming from and if my front side is as tan as my back side. I found this resort, Capella Pedregal in Cabo San Lucas in my interweb travels and I am in luuuuurve. So stylish, so private, so “Calgon take me away”. It’s located at the southern most tip of the Baja Peninsula where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortes. Did I mention it’s only reachable by private tunnel carved through the cliff-side and how much cooler that instantly makes it?

I absolutely love the giant, Adler-esque entrance gates (and their logo, BTW.)

The welcome desk is genius. Having that wide open expanse showcasing the natural beauty of the place is the best artwork money can buy (or can’t buy…)

The rooms are FABULOUS. Actually, I think the decor of this whole place is spot on for a Mexican beach resort- calming but not stark, ethnic but not kitschy, natural but not uber-crunchy, contemporary yet traditional. Love the modern headboards, the use of Mexican Otomi textiles (I still need to find a use for one in my home) and the private terraces with plunge pools. I mean, what’s not to love? The transition between the natural outdoors and interiors is so seamless, it’s almost as if you aren’t sure where the beach ends and the rooms begin.

The pools, obviously look insane. On the rocks, with salt- Gracias.

I can only imagine how tasty the authentic Mexican food is in these decliciously designed restaurants. I’m salivating thinking about it, actually. And it’s 7:30 a.m., which is kind of gross.

Someday I’ll go. Until then, I’ll have to manage my stress with yoga class. :)

WOW! Sign me up!! Not only does it look beautiful and relaxing, but the little details are stunning! I love the dishes on the ceiling of the restaurant, and the large candelabras. And I love the wood details in the guest rooms. AMAZING! Thanks for sharing Erin!
This looks unbelievable! When you finally go – please take me with?!
Wow! Just wow. Unbelievable. Looking at things like this makes me want to act like Veruca Salt and throw myself in the floor and kick and scream until I get to go there.

This is insanely gorgeous! I’ve absolutely been having “take me to the beach right now” fever and this just sent me over the top. Wow.

Um, yes please! Any idea how much? Gotta know if this is pure fantasy or somehow achievable. :)
I vacationed at Capella in March this year – fantastic place! The staff is so accommodating and the scenery is beautiful. Would go back in a heartbeat. Good pick!
Say what? Babymoon destination? I think so.
I love this post. I needed this today! I was so inspired by a vacation that I still to this day use the elements of the decor there in my decorating. I must go to the this place!! Please find a way to get a free weekend and take me!

Thank you Erin for your post and everybody who left a comment. I work for Capella Pedregal, and i can only say that I wish I could live in Capella Pedregal. I have been living in Cabo San Lucas since they started the construction, and the results are truly amazing. Every time I go there, be it for a meeting, a lunch or a spa treatment, i feel like a movie star… It is mesmerizing and a pure bliss. The images above look amazing, but it’s even more amazing when you can see it in person. And the best thing is, that you have your own paradise just 5 minutes from the town and marina. Saludos!
Amazing. Your and Paloma’s blog always give me a wicked travel bug.
Wonderful hotel . I’ve already been to Cabo but I want to go back soon

Are you kidding me? I just drolled all over my keyboard. My husband said, “let’s book it”–though I think it’s all in jest. Maybe not, though :-)
