I discovered your website quite a while ago and have continued to read it. However, when you start showing stores, etc. only because they now advertise with you, it really changes my opinion about wanting to visit this site (and I will not look at your advertisers when you specifically post about them). Just put them up as an advertiser and call it a day.
Leni- I only accept advertisers of products I believe in and proudly would post about. I adamantly refuse to be paid to post about anything and I offer the welcome post to them as a way to introduce their product or store to the EOS family. I am sorry this insults you but I am very happy and secure in the way I run my business and don’t think it waters down the content at all. I’ve been offered money from companies and products I do not like and have refused them. I stand by that and will continue to.

I think what is GREAT about your blog is that you offer insight on so many different products- whether you are paid or not, it’s your fashionable opinion that matters to me and keeps me coming back :) Seriously though- I refer to your gift guides regularly when I can’t come up with a creative gift idea. Erin, I am not insulted at all. Additionally, I never even thought of the possibility of you being offered additional money and/or gifts from companies (other than the obvious ad revenue that is being generated). Some readers may not notice a new banner on the side and will not click, but when nested within a post it is more likely to generate both more clicks and ad revenue.
What I was trying to convey was that in the future, I, as a reader would have be sure to carefully read to see if the post is about a new advertiser with your company or is something that you discovered on your own.
I think it is great if someone can love what they do, AND get paid! what an idea!
Plus, I find the links helpful so that I don’t have to go searching for an item on my own.. problem solved!
P.S. please tell me they make adult sizes? I am loving the underwear!
“Had” to have the Eden bag in orchid right away (seemed more like spring so I could use it immediately) and I also ‘had’ to have a tunic from ‘Tunix’ and ordered one of those as soon as I read your post about them also. I always let them know when ordering where I read about them and they send the nicest personal replies.
My experience with Ashley at Tunix was exceptional (there was a shipping snafu that was no fault of hers) and my tunic is darling. So cute, in fact, that I’ve already ordered another.
I, for one, am thrilled that you post about the goodies your advertisers sell, because I would otherwise not necessarily know about them, since I do not click on the links. I admire your style (both fashion and design) greatly and appreciate that you pass along your findings to your loyal readers. That’s my $0.02. Thanks and please keep it up!!!
