Happy St. Patty’s Day everyone! I felt compelled to try to make my post today Irish themed, being mostly Irish myself, and since I so recently did a green post I had to go and find something else! I am so glad I put in the effort, otherwise I never would have found the Bellinter House. I am mad for this small hotel- the historic layers of architectural detail mixed with modern furniture simply looks divine.I have yet to travel to my homeland, but someday I will, and I do think I’ll stay here!

Very cool! Road trip!
What a find! I quickly bookmarked this great hotel for future reference, and will pass it along. Happy St. Patty’s Day!

Fabulous! I totally want to go there on our trip to Ireland in 2 weeks now! Gorgy!
Ireland is beautiful, you have to go!!!!!
As a fellow New Englander, I have to say you are going to LOVE Ireland. You must go!
oh, that wire hanging down from the light is making.me.crazy! How could they let a small detail go unnoticed when the rest is so gorgeous?
That shower is amaaaazing. Great find! Happy St. Pat’s!

Love that bathroom, especially – that shower!
I die for that blue bathroom and dark wood floors-lovely! Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful design and what a super cool bathroom! Happy St. Paddy’s Day!
Gorgeous! Happy St. Patty’s Day Erin!
i’m dying to go back to the irish homeland. this hotel is incredible! and makes me want to plan this vacation right now!
SO chic… and cozy-looking on top of that!
Happy St. Patttys day! Did you know that the pink feather wall sculpture and the “animal head” lights are from South Africa. Every time I got back home I am tempted to bring back a feathery thing for our house here, but they are so big! I wonder if the owners of that hotel are perhaps South African? Anyway great post, thanks for sharing.
That bathroom makes me DIE!!!!
I echo Justine. I am kicking myself for not picking up one of those fixtures in SA. The place we stayed (anafricanvilla) in Cape Town should be another article for you in itself. Do you have a source for them in North America?
Love your blog.
This place is not far down the road from me and although I had heard of it, I never knew it’s interior would be up to this standard. I will have to go down for a nose when I get the chance! Thanks for posting and Happy Paddy’s from Ireland!
just lovely! I’ve been interested in ireland for some time now.. I’m actually planning on living there for a year now that I graduated from college.. I’d love to acutally get to know europe, and not just visit it for 15 days ^^
I’ve seen this hotel in the flesh (or stone!) and it’s fabulous! Doesn’t that shower make you want to jump up and down?! I live in Dublin and the hotel is not far at all from the city so it would be an easy trip! And Ireland is fab – even if I am a little biased :) If you ever plan a trip here I’d be happy to make any recommendations you might want/need, esp where to stay/eat/play! Happy St. Paddys Day!
Those are stunning rooms. The floors are absolutely amazing!

Love the library!
Love the rooms with the green/whilte walls. I did the same thing in my dining room and it looks awesome. C2 Element above the chair rail and BM White Linen from the chair rail down.
hey erin,
i’ve stayed here a few times for work and pleasure – it’s gorgeous. i’m an american living over here, so if you ever want some ireland tips, let me know!
p.s. there is a good cookbook associated with bellinter – the eden cookbook.
enjoy!

What a great find! This place looks lovely. Thanks for sharing with us.
hi Natalie
There are a few places you could source South African stuff in the US. My little blog talks about South African design, and I try to keep a list of places to find stuff. I hope to be bringing in things myself within the next year because the US deserves to be able to enjoy great South African design!
