SERIOUSLY? This is so friggin’ scary and pathetic. Makes women look insane. This video is of the stampede that occurred at H&M opening day of the Sonia Rykiel line. I mean, maybe if they were giving away free Laboutins and kisses from Rob Pattinson inside I’d be a participant in this kind of hysteria, but over a $35 shirt that will unravel as you leave the store? COME ON LADIES! Get a grip!

wow. that’s crazy. why would they allow that? how can you possibly control a crowd like that? they should have let people in like it was a nightclub – a few at a time. first in line first.
love your comment about the shirt unraveling. so true! you get what you pay for!
Says so much about what’s wrong with this country. If only there was this level of “passion” about things that truly matter.
The best part is that you can now find those pieces peacefully hung on the rack of the H&M stores, patiently waiting for a customer to take them home…people are INSANE.
lol this is ridiculous. speaking of which… here’s something to actually go hysterical about. Eclipse trailer is finally out!! http://perezhilton.com/2010-03-11-its-here-full-eclipse-trailer-has-arrive
that is so halarious. i cannot stand shopping like that. AND oh my goodness…BETH, thank you for the link to the new trailer. i have been DESPERATELY waiting. love love love you!!!!!!!
lol, obviously the highlight of my week! and so of course i figured others who frequented this blog would think so too!!
no waaaaaay! who can shop like that!!?
Definitely not worth it.
I wouldnt do that for Rob-Patt’s kisses either but maybe for Jake Gyllenhall’s (yum!)
Seriously. Thank you for saying that. Someone needed to. I just don’t get the insanity with H & M.
Wow. Where was this mayhem?
that is seriously the scariest thing i’ve ever seen. it’s what nightmares are made of. and for h&m? WOW.
Ugh. Women like this give our generation and gender a really bad rep. Gorw up children. Grow up.
I was at the Downtown Crossing H&M years ago when the Stella Mccartney line debuted. Seriously crazy. One lady ended up pushing me over for a pair of pants she would have never fit into even if she had a tub of butter to help her!!!
I survived the Stella opening and seriously, all I got was a lousy t-shirt!
I wish we had an H&M in Miami…although this is crazy pants!
Totally riiiiiidiculous. I would have a panic attack.
noodleandboof.blogspot.com
sheer idiocy. i mean, why? the stuff doesn’t even last one washing
Wow…that’s really pathetic. There’s more important things to think about in this world today besides a $35.00 shirt. Such as world hunger, global warming, and helping Haiti and Chile. These girls are really pathetic. It’s just material that covers the body. That’s all it is. Yes, the designer is amazing, but really…it’s not worth getting hurt or hurting someone else over clothing. I also think that when they opened the store and seeing that many people outside waiting to get in, the workers should have thought about a better plan. Perhaps let 10-20 women in at a time, give them a time limit and a limit of items they can purchase, and then allow the next group to come in. Allowing them to just come in the way they did is ridiculous. Those women are CRAZY!
Daria is so right. This kind of behavior makes you ashamed to be a woman. Can you imagine men stampeding a store for cheap clothing? It is childish, disgusting and dangerous.
WOWSA…that is insane….
Thank God this was not the United States!!!!!! The language spoken sounded like French. I think it must have been Paris, they are crazy about Rykiel there. I am actually crazy about Rykiel myself, and scored a few pieces days after the launch. The quality is surprisingly good for H&M. The collection was all knits and 100% pima cotton.
I have more of a problem with the people who greedily buy tons of a collection, not because they are fans, but so they can resell these “Limited Editions” for double or triple the asking price!!!!!
Very sad that people are so passionate about material things….it’s shameful!
hey guys, i just found this here when i did an good yahoo search. Neat blog you have here! Keep it up!
It is very funny to watch this. I live in Zurich, Switzerland. On the date when the line was open in Zurich, not many people were there at all. So whoever wants to get hold of the H&M clothes, come here! Just a plane journey away… ;-)
