Growing up my mom would always get us something for Valentines Day- but it HAD to be pink or red. This rule was unquestionable and made for some interesting gifts for my brothers. A few of you asked for some Valentines Day ideas for yourselves and others, so I pulled together some items (mostly adhering to Mom’s rule) to get you thinking…
You can’t go wrong with a little piece by John Derian. So lovely and appropriate for the holiday!

A framed print from Etsy artists are affordable and sweet (click on pic for link):
Make for a fun night by giving your Valentine a gift basket with a great bottle of wine, delicious cupcakes from Crumbs Bakery and my favorite game, Table Topics for Couples. It’ll stir up some very interesting conversations.

Sick of getting him boxers with hearts all over them? These tattoo “heart on his sleeve” pajamas are pretty cute without being “cutesie.”

I am still a sucker for a dude in a pink shirt in the summertime. J.Crew can hook him up with a snazzy one.

Send a sweet treat of adorably decorated cookies to anyone- from my favorite Fancypants Bakery!

Flowers ordered over the phone or internet do not have to be all roses and baby’s breath (ick)- chek out these choices designed by Martha Stewart and Vera Wang.

For jewelry that doesn’t bank the bank but ups the ante on style look no further than J.Crew and Banana. Valentines Day jewelry need not be delicate and heart shaped, surprise her with something trendy and super stylish she’ll love to wear.
And yes I’m posting this necklace again as a hint to someone specific who reads this blog and *might* be looking for a Valentines Day gift for me. To avoid any confusion, Andrew this is YOU. Subtlety is not my forte, folks. :)

(top: Banana, bottom: J.Crew)
Dying for that little blue box? These Morroccan inspired resin cuffs by Paloma Picasso are $150 and so modern!

For the fashionista, Anthropogie has some sweet and sexy tops that would be perfect for Valentines night out as well as some darling pajama pants that I ADORE!

Looking for something a smidge sexier that she’ll actually wear? I am loving the modern look of this Elle McPhearson set and loungewear set from Eberjey.

Happy shopping! xoxo

Now that you have your gift ideas all planned out, what kind of DATE are you planning? I just did a blog post on date ideas, on my blog.
Yeah, I don’t want to rudely steal traffic from Elements of Style, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Wait ’til You see the look on their face
When they open their present and

With millions of Americans out of work since the recession began, many people are looking for gifts made in the USA. American consumer purchases drive two-thirds of the US economy. How you choose to spend your money really matters. Imported goods are flooding the shelves of even small retailers like gift shops and galleries. You can grow our economy and support American artisans by seeking out local gift shops and online galleries selling the best in American arts. Let’s make this the year of the American gift.
John Derian is the best. Hands down. Always a go to for wedding presents and thank you gifts. The red letters make a great housewarming gift.

Guys,
If you want to be a hero on Valentine’s Day, then give the gift that keeps on giving every month of the year with the things she wants most! http://www.makeupofthemonthcub.com
I was looking all over for a great gift for my husband this Valentine’s Day and found this site. I think candy grams are a good Valentine’s Day gift but I really like the idea of ‘Love Tokens.’ I was searching online and found a bunch that were cheap and cheesey but then I found uniquevalentinegift.com
These guys have tons of unique gifts that will surprise your Valentine. Its tough to always come up with a new gift – everyone has done flowers and jewelry – but this site has a bunch of cool gift ideas.
Hey! Happy Valentines Day everyone… Wish you all to have a very sweet moment with your loved ones.
