I was sent a couple pictures from a client who I’m working with in Palm Beach of her bedroom as it’s being installed- and I am so excited with the results. The Imperial Trellis custom headboard came out perfect with it’s double rows of nail head trim (nail heads make everything more fabulous). I cannot wait until the bed skirt (also Imperial Trellis) and window treatments arrive (everything being beautifully made by Parkers Fabrics in West Palm)! Also, loving how the Bungalow 5 nightstands and foo dog lamps create a sleek play on beach chic without it being too “sweet” and themed.

This got me thinking about kelly green as a color- I’ve always loved it (must be the Irish in me). It’s dramatic and bold yet fresh and complex. Some rooms that exemplify my point, whether in small accents or big commitments:

the headboard is fantastic! And, green has long been my favorite color! Bravo.
a) the room looks FABULOUS!!
b) you should search for pics of tory burch’s living room. her couch is gorgeous emerald/olive green velvet.
Love this room! I work at Baranzelli on Charles st. My boss and I love your work!
That banana leaf wallpaper, and those green drapery panels…love!
I love the color green SOOO much! It is one of my faves! Your client’s room looks fab and I love the headboard! Great work, Erin!
Loving all of this! Green is so fun!
I love a bright pop of Green in a room, it can be preppy or glam or rocker or cottagey…It makes me ALMOST as happy as pink which has been all but banned from our home…sads…
Great job on the bedroom! This green certainly pops against the white.
Yes! Love the green. That Sherrill Canet living room has been a favorite of mine.
Love it! Especially the kelly green. (Though my boyfriend would pair it with navy in honor of the Whalers. I had to veto many of his decorating suggestions for our house. It would have been a shrine to a defunct NHL team)
Can we please move beyond imperial trellis and those bungalow 5 nightstands, please? how many more rooms will we see that look just like this… this is much like a great band/song being ruined by continuous, nauseous radio play. can somebody please do something different….
Wow, your client’s room is coming along so beautifully!! I’m with you, green is my fave – it’s so refreshing and lively. And I love the double row of nail heads!!
Erin,
So glad to see that you love kelly/apple green. It is one of my favorite colors. I recently posted a photo on my blog of my very very kelly bathroom window treatment and shower curtain. I thought you may want to see some like-minded kelly green love!
Happy Mardi Gras from New Orleans!
