A Couple Upcoming Events…

Stil_RUNNER'S WORKSHOP

Just a heads up for Boston folks- two upcoming events you might be interested in.  First is an Alexander McQueen for Puma trunk show at Stil Studio at Legacy Place in Dedham.  Pop in and see the athletic line designed by the late designer. Also happening that day is a yoga for runners workshop with OmGal Rebecca Pacheco!

Save the Date Final

Also, I’m hoping you will save the date for a FABULOUS event I am very lucky to be a part of.  The Room to Dream Foundation‘s spring gala event, Carnival of Dreams, is featuring four dream rooms designed by Boston designers for chronically ill children- including one designed by me (I have a great idea for the scheme too)!  It’s an amazing cause and sure to be an ridiculously fun event so please check out the website to learn more!

I was just in London and went to the Alexander McQueen store on Old Bond Street. I needed to pay my respects, and the experience was very sad, and beautiful. It was like going into a museum that stopped time. His pieces, colors, and fabrics were extraordinary. It is such loss in the design community. They said he was a really down-to-earth guy. I feel that one who can embrace being kind, talented and successful is a rare mix. His being, and talent will be greatly missed.

  3. Love Boston so much, now just a few more reasons to wish I was there!

  4. The Room to Dream Foundation is such a wonderful cause! I have met with Stefan Nathanson … what a great idea he had to start this deserving charity that allows people in our industry to give back to kids who really need some extra TLC. RTD events are a win-win for all involved (I donated a holiday wreath that I designed to the Festival of Wreaths event last year and my husband took home Red Sox tickets from “Field of Beers” – that night was a lot of fun – although I did not get to go to the game as he took a few of his buddies instead!) I can’t wait to see what you come up with for your Carnival of Dreams space – I am sure it will be amazing!

YESS!!! I really want to go to that yoga for runners workshop. I’m a beginner at yoga, but I’m kind of falling in love with it. It’s a really nice break from my regular running routine. I just don’t think I’ll be able to get down there via public transportation! :(
