My friend Jessica turned me onto the genius that is Alison Conklin’s photography. I am, to put it mildly, obsessed. These two weddings really sealed the deal though- from the mind-blowing bridesmaids dresses and scenery (interiors too) of a wedding in Ireland to a deliciously hip Philly wedding. I advise all of you, even those not interested in weddings, to look at her galleries. What a talent!

Erin- Her pictures really are beautiful! I was equally obsessed with our wedding photographer. She has also done weddings in Mexico and Ireland with some amazing shots. There really are some amazing wedding photogs out there, and I never tire of looking at wedding photos!
I don’t know why more people don’t spring for a more artistic photographer. Maybe it’s just not their aesthetic? If I wanted to look back at the wedding with really literal, standard pics, I would just look through the facebook pics that will inevitably pop up. I want a mooooood! These are fabulous.
The black ribbon with the bouquets are genius! Especially with the gorgeous bridesmaid dresses (one rarely sees black done right at weddings). Anyone know the source for the gorgeous maid gowns?

I read this blog every day and was hoping that some mention/notice would be given to readers to possibly make donations to redcross for Haiti relief or at the least a word or two on the despair in Haiti. I am a little disappointed, and before anyone get’s upset at my comment; know that I understand I am reading a style blog. But I have seen information on here before regarding other things and was hoping that this tragedy would have at least been mentioned once…..or did I miss something?
