My gift guides for 09 are in the works and I’ll have at least one or two to you this week, but even while I think of gifts I am thinking of the wrapping as well! I love wrapping presents. My first job ever as a little kid was working in the gift wrap room at my family’s clothing store. I have such amazingly fond memories of going with my dad to work and parking myself in the back amongst boxes, tissue, papers and ribbons and gleefully waiting for a package to come back that needed to be wrapped. I’d even wrap empty boxes to practice my technique to make sure it was perfect. So as an adult I still get really excited to pick out my holiday paper and come up with a crafty presentation. Here are some wrapping papers I found that reminds me of great interiors and interior accessories- why not combine the things I love?
This one reminds me so much of Jonathan Adler!

This classic reminded me of Osbourne & little Coronata Star wallpaper- add a bold ribbon for a really lovely look.

This crisp green and white looks very Kate Spade to me. Maybe with just a glossy black sating ribbon and a yellow tag?

This paper made me instantly think of Clarence House’s cherry blossom paper!

Red+ aqua+ black+ trellis pattern= AWESOME. Use this one with an aqua ribbon and black tag or accent for something really modern and chic.

Wood grain/ faux bois print is pretty hot in all things interiors (fabrics, wallpaper, rugs) so why not wrapping paper? I’d add a light blue ribbon to this one and call it a day.

This medallion print brings an eclectic look to the holiday (like Peter Dunham’s print shown here). Use raffia and perhaps a contasting solid paper cuff to dress it up.

They have an Imperial Trellis looking paper that would look amazing with any color ribbon accent!

Also a John Derian style calligraphy print that gives an antique look

And to add a personal touch to each gift you can use these amazing personalized gift tags from Tiny Prints- there are so many prints to choose from!

What a fun post Erin- you found some incredible paper!
This post is nothing but trouble for me, as I’m a serious paper addict. I don’t think I could go through all of the wrapping paper I already have in a lifetime. These are all great picks!
great news! was wondering if you did a gift guide and i have coronata star in my new bathroom! fun to see it on here…. love your blog! read in traditional home over the weekend to use gluestick and not tape for wrapping gifts – do you agree?
The wrapping paper is beautiful! Such an inspiration for color. Which leads to my next hopeful request. I am looking for some sort-of inspiration for my home work space. As the bookshelves are feeling a little cluttered and my desk is feeling a little too busy with ,my stacked files. Any pictures of rooms or organizational tips would be helpful, and very freeing for the upcoming 2010.
On a more exciting note, I got the DWR Tripod lamp on sale and it is a beauty. Thanks for being an equivalent to my am Cafe!
GORGEOUS wrapping paper. I’m obsessed with those wrapping paper stations that they are selling now at Ballard Design – I might have to be like Candy Spelling and devote an entire room in my home to gift wrap (my house isn’t big enough, but a girl can dream, can’t she?)
Such a great post!
Great compares! I love Kate’s paperie – there are always fabulous things there.
As Hallmark card’s said;;;
”It show’’s you care enough.”
I love to get a gift that is Beautifully wrapped.
