In honor of the cooking that is about to commence I had to post this mind blowingly awesome stove hood found on B-Metro Magazine via Urban Grace. It’s in a home in Florida and it is the coolest shape I’ve ever seen! Plus, having a skylight and a long farm table right in the kitchen to allow people to hang and chat while you cook is pretty ideal for the holiday season!

How about the pantry that goes along with it?

And once your done you can retire to this glass walled master bedroom (doesn’t it look so serene-assuming there are no neighbors anywhere close?)

I’m taking tomorrow off to indulge in turkey and family time but will be back Friday with a Fashion Friday post-probably about stretchy waistband pants since I plan on eating my weight in turkey and pie.

The lovely bedroom reminds me of Lena Loos’ room designed by Adolf Loos:

Beautiful kitchen! My husband and I and some of our friends rented a villa in Umbria a few years ago that had a similar kitchen and feel to it….definitely the most amazing cooking (and house!) experience we ever had. Thanks for reminding me of it on this gray day and Happy Thanksgiving!
This kitchen, and home, has such an unusual mood to it, slightly brooding but serene. Interesting. Janell
Absolutely incredible- I love everything about it!! Happy turkey day to you.
In the words of you…I die.
If the house is 11 Bonita, then I’m pretty sure it’s actually in Birmingham.
this is just stunning. thank you for the eye candy!
Yep it’s in alabama. Not Florida. Love the pics!
What a great job. Beautiful. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

P.S. I am having a wonderful holiday giveaway on Monday ~ beautiful art glass ornaments ~ stop by :)
That is one seriously sexy space! I love the stove, especially. *swoon*
I’m in total love of this entire house. It’s in Birmingham — a city getting cooler and cooler daily.
Stunning! I love the peek of the outdoor fireplace from the bedroom!
all i ever want is a kitchen that is big enough to cook and entertain in – preferably with a fireplace. this kitchen is fabulous. happy thanksgiving erin. can’t wait to see your stretchy waistband post – if anyone can make it chic you can!!
Wish I had seen this post before Thanksgiving since I was in Birmingham and could have tried to find this gorgeous house!
Truth, the hood is a tad batcave-ish for me, but the stove and brick back splash are great.
