My trip to Atlanta was such a blast- I wish I could have stayed longer! Having a city that large and spread out makes it hard to hit all the spots you suggested and I had on my list (not one single clothing store this time around- which my wallet is thankful for!) Guess I’ll HAVE to return! Here’s a little recap of some of the great places we visited!
We started our visit with lunch at JCT Kitchen & Bar which was perfection- from the crisp Napa Valley-esque decor, to the delicious food and huge jug of Lemonheads at the exit.

I would have taken a slew of pictures at Star Provisions has I not been yelled at by the staff to not do so. A fantastic spot for gifts for home and table and home to one of Atlanta’s finest restaurants Bacchanalia.

One of the most exciting spots we visited was Savvy Snoot- labeled a home consignment shop, it’s really a fabulous antique store with tons of vintage finds that made my knees buckle.
I could furnish a whole house in about 5 hours in Bungalow Classic. I was so enamored with things that I forgot to take pictures except for one of my brother Mike on his dream couch (super deep for he and his wife, who are both very tall!)
And then I finally got to visit my favorite shop of all time, Pieces. It was so wonderful to be able to see the things in person that I’ve been coveting and blogging about for years. Smaller than you might expect, but every inch is so perfectly curated you can spend forever going through the place.
We visited South of Market, which was huge and stocked to the gills with amazing upholstered pieces, unique tables and lighting and gorgeous accessories.
Why is there not a Room & Board in Boston?? I hope they consider putting one there at some point- although it probably won’t be in as cool of a space as the one we visited. It was actually distracting to have such amazing architecture surrounding the furniture!
Dinner at Kevin Rathbun Steak was awesome- I had the most spectacular halibut dish I’ve ever eaten!
what really kills me is the real estate in Atlanta- the side streets filled with adorable renovated bungalows! All for the same amount or less than we paid for a condo in Boston! Why do I live here again? Oh right, Boston is pretty awesome. :)

Wow, I need to visit Atlanta to get to that store Pieces. Although I would be broke after that place! Thanks for sharing photos of your trip. The spots you stopped at are amazing.
What a great trip! Three things:
1)JCT looks so much like Carneros Inn, doesn't it??
2) So jealous you got to go to Pieces.
3) Glad you got to check out Room and Board! Weren't you blown away by the quality and craftsmanship?
That and World Market and Boston would be all set!
practically all of my college friends either grew up in or moved to atlanta. i'm there visiting all the time and i STILL haven't been to pieces!! ugh these pictures are so gorg….definitely a priority for next trip.
Great photos- looks like you had a wonderful time!
Ha ha, I live in Atlanta and haven't been to half of these places you've visited BUT I also love JCT Kitchen. Glad you had fun!
Pieces and Savvy Snoot look like fab stores! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
You hit all of the great spots, but you missed Verde Home & Belvedere! Those are some of my other favorites!
So glad you popped into B.Brathwaite. My friend from college and he mother run and own it. It makes having a baby seem like this ethereal lovely stress free event…haha
I did go to Belvedere but they were in the process of moving so they didn't have much at all in the store- also went to Lewis & Sheron!
I live right around the corner from Room and Board, Star Provisions, etc. Isn't it decorating heaven? If you head down Huff Rd. there are several fabric stores and more hole-in-the-wall interior stores. I agree with you, Rathbuns is fabulous! Next time you are in Atl, try South City Kitchen. They do a great twist on traditional southern food. Glad you enjoyed your visit to the dirty south!
I had to come out of reader for this post! I am very glad to hear you your visit to ATL. I haven't yet been to JCT… b/c I am still mourning Commune. I had to comment on Room & board and Savvy Snoot- two great places. There is a Snavvy Snoot in Alpharetta that I get to more often. But most importantly- Rathbun's is in my top 5. Next time you are here, please try to make it to Dogwood Restaurant. It's excellent. Area Home was moving this weekend but is a good store as well.
I'm so glad you went to the Savvy Snoot! I bought my all time fave lamps there! JCT rocks too! Glad you could visit our neck of the woods!!
Damn – I could spend hours upon hours in each store than come back the next day and do it all again…just to make sure I got it all in!
Erin – I absolutely love your blog and your style. I live in Atlanta (one of the houses you posted below is on my street!) and was at Star Provisions, B. Braithwaite, SOM and the St. Regis this weekend – bummer I didn't run into you. Next time, come during Scott Antique Market weekend, make sure to visit Mercantile – new in Ashford Park – and Bella Cucina in Highlands. The design shopping here is ENDLESS.
Love, Love, Love all the pics especially Pieces! What kind of camera do you have? Everything looks amazing!
Wow, it looks amazing! I need to book a ticket to Atlanta!
Great post! Can't wait to visit all of these places someday.
Erin, did you purchase anything? Either for yourself or for a client?
Erin, I knew you shopping Atlanta was going to be bad for my pocket book! I've been in love with an armoire at Pieces since you blogged about it sometime last year (the orange one which am I sad to see they now have in white). I feel an expensive shopping trip coming on!
what a great weekend!! those bungalows are so quaint….why oh why isn't boston priced like that!!
i live in atlanta and you have covered all of the best home stores in the city. my faves as well. a note about the affordability in atlanta though. those cute little bungalows are affordable bc they are in areas that are less than desirable. trust me when i say the cute ones in great areas are at least 400,000 dollars and up. not exactly the median home price. i live in a great, old bungalow and it is in the hoody hood hood. you can have cute at a lower price if you don't mind the sound of gunshots.
side note** i am not referring to the houses in your post, i have no idea where those are.
your weekend sounds (and looks) amazing! atlanta is now definitely on my map! great stores (i am always reminding friends to ask before clicking bc many stores are not as cool as us or stores prefer you use their profession pix on blogs, etc…), great design, and beautiful homes. i'll add it to our list of cities we want to see… someday!
Those stores are BEAUTIFUL and the homes to boot! I want one!
Amazing.
That's really all I can say!
looks like a fabulous trip – i may be in the market for lots of home things soon…
your blog is so interesting!!
I live just outside of Atlanta and have never been to most of these places – guess I need to venture out a little! I have eaten at JCT Kitchen and it is SO good!
Every time I visit Boston I ask myself why we don't live there!
I love ATL! I live two hours away and it seemed I never have enough time to see everything! I'll be there in Friday, so I'll make sure I stop at some of the places you mentioned. Great post!
I die at this post… Atlanta is my heart!! I love this city. I cannot wait to visit some of these places on my next visit!!!!
Oh, you went to mecca 'aka, Pieces', I'm insanely jealous. Looks like a fantastic trip.
hey, where's my closet??
;)
Jill
oh what fun!!!! youfind the best places!!!
Hey…I live in Atlanta and you absolutely hit up the best places around!!! I work so close to that area so frequent Star P and JCT all the time. My boss actually used the owner of Savvy Snoot to do her house a couple years ago and they did an amazing job!
