I just had to publicly lament about the fact that after all my hard work and planning to hold my party outside on the patio, it’s going to pour tonight for my birthday party.

I had my 30th bday party during the monsoon season in Philadelphia (aka this past June). It POURED all week so we rented a crazy circus tent from Craigslist and planned to batten down the hatches. But sure enough, 6pm came, guests starting arriving, and the clouds parted… Talk about a birthday gift from the big guy. Hope the same happens for you! And if not, just keep the booze flowing…

Sorry about the weird weather. My baby brother in NY says it's been rainy a lot. I wish I could lend yous some of the heat and sunshine Seattle's been getting. Most of us are sick of it! Go figure, huh?
