oh, wait… what looked like reclaimed wood on the risers now looks like a rug upon closer inspection. Although… reclaimed wood would be kinda cool too…

Just lovely. I totally agree with you. I've been completely overwhelmd with work this work. Too much to do and not enough hours in the day.

hi there…completely unrelated question to the topic, but i was wondering…where did you get the area rug that's in your foyer and dining room (they look like they are similar?) from?

Normally, I am an advocate for featuring just key pieces when putting photos up. In fact, I'm still not sure people will be able to appreciate the photos featured on the wall. But with the details around the stair case, some how the photos just match.

I really like the pictures displayed around the staircase..I little worried about not having a banister though. They probably don't have kids yet..:) Oh…the things mom's think about!

Love these stairs BUT… don't you need a railing for them to be up to code? Could be dangerous! But breathtakingly pretty.

Perfect! I would love to have a staircase like that in my pad! Love the color on the walls too.

  15. Alicia says:

Yup Geraldine, this is not up to code. They'd have to put one up before selling.
I know its a stylized image so I wonder if was done purely for effect…but whatever because love it, especially the embeliishments at the risers.

Oh. Just beautiful. Hardly practical, but I never was that sort anyway…
