Get Your Green On: A Planter Roundup.

I have a thing for really great planters. I don’t know what it is, but I just love a beautiful pair flanking a door or along a garden wall. So here’s a round up of some fabulous ones:

Cantelope planter by Charlotte Moss for Seibert-Rice and my favorite, the Chippendale planters from Charleston Gardens.

Ventura cachepots by Pottery Barn and the Stuart planter by Charleston Gardens.

Antique galvanized planter by Smith & Hawken and a more modern take from CB2.

To be green while cultivating your green thumb use these recycled tire rubber tubs as planters, from DWR. While your there, pick up the modern an cool Bullet planter, available in a few different colors!

For flanking a front door I always love a classic pair of Grecian Urns or tall modern narrow planters.

For an Asian inspired garden, try bright planters from Target and perhaps this pagoda wall planter from Horchow.

I’m loving this Moroccan planter set from Simply Planters, for a windowsill garden get a set of these vintage looking numbered pots from Anthropologie.
For drool worthy luxury- check out the selection from Authentic Provence…. *le sigh*

(and and P.S., I am freaking my freak over this umbrella they also have…)

On a smaller scale, I’d love to see this bowl planter filled with succulents on an outdoor dining table or perhaps a grouping of these poppy planters from the NYBT.

I feel inspired to go plant something!

  1. You have be motivated now. Going to garden store today. Love all the pots you picked out and that umbrella is great!

  2. This is such a helpful post…thank you! I have been struggling with planters & the look I want to create…now I can actually decide!

  3. I must have the umbrella! Horchow used to have one with a slightly venetian vibe that was handpainted with tassels. It reminded me of Nomi fabric. I could kick myself for not buying one when I had the chance.

  4. Love Seibert & Rice – gorgeous (I wish they had sales!) S&R terracotta can be left outside during the winter (if filled with dirt) and it won't crack.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

  5. Oh My word!! Are those Authentic Provence pots gorgeous!! Can only imagine the prices! Pennoyernewman.com also has lovely pots. We have used some of the small ones for our silk arrangements and have been very pleased with them. They are very nice people to work with.

  6. great post!
i love the ones from CB2, the brushed metal is sleek and modern, although they'd probably rust in our salt air.
the green asian target ones are so cool also.
