I’m taking this fashion Friday to out some trends that I think are just ridiculous. Now I admit, when leggings and skinny jeans first came back I swore I would not partake, and I certainly have, but if you spy me wearing shoulder pads please knock me unconscious.
1) Bizarre leg wear. These look good on nobody- not even Gisele. (Those fringe ones in the middle are not a joke, despite appearances!)
2) Hammer pants. A droopy crotch is truly hideous.
3) Ridiculous denim trends that are just plain silly and unflattering.
4) This haircut. On anyone. Ever.
5) 80’s/90’s footwear that should have been left in that decade.
6) Shoulder pads. AHHH!!!! Why?
7) Dressing avante garde just for the sake of trying to be “avante garde“- even if it’s just plain ugly. Pretty always looks better!

Yes, most of those things you listed are ridiculous. However, I totally adore the blue denim in the middle… where did you find those??

ok seriously – who told kate gosselin that haircut looked good? her hair stylist needs to be taken out back and shot. ok perhaps that was harsh but really – it's hideous and she is such a pretty girl. hammer pants? really? when i was in rome a few years back all the rage was the wild colored tights and i admit i bought a pair of lime green that have yet to come out of the package!! i don't want to end up on your fashion don't list!!
Those fringe stockings are frightening! An awesome post — totally made me laugh this morning. I don't know why some people are so obsessed with what's "in style". There really are some trends out there that people should avoid. Anyways, it's so much more interesting when people find their own style and show that off.

shoulder pads!!! I remember in the late 80's my mom used to wear bras that come with shoulder pads!
Amen, Erin! I know the 80s are back and while I can handle skinny jeans, (black) leggings and even some neon I DO NOT GET harem pants. They're unflattering and should never, ever have resurfaced. Also hate (almost all) onesies. Just so hard to pull off in "real life".
Also shoulder pads. Horrible. I remember cutting them out of my dresses back in middle school. Even then I had broad shoulders and they just made (well, make) me look like a linebacker.

The leggings I blame on Lindsay Lohan..I saw her designs somewhere & my 7 yeard old goddaughetr thought they looked like cheap Halloween store stuff. Gross.
My hair stylist wants to personally find Kate's hair cutter 'cause no stylist would do that, tie them down & whip them repeatedly with back issues of ELLE magazine, hoping it will somehow instill a bit of chic into them. Its a trailer park peacock.
Now all we need to do is to get the post into Americas hands……
The fringe legging just looks like you need to shave really bad!! Personally I hope the 80's look never comes back.. it's so unflattering!

I too am "into the leggings" for comfort but OMG shoulder pads are just ugly!
my, my, my. This hits home! In the 80's I had these HUGE shoulder pads that came in cans. Just popped those under a t-shirt and walla! Instant quarterback! I'm dating myself, right?
