Don’t ask me WHY I was flipping through a copy of Woman’s Day magazine, but I did spot these great images from the book Thrifty Chic in there and thought they looked fantastic! I spy my French opaline glasses on the cover too! :)

Looks like a great book! We love flower arrangements that appear to be just gathered from your garden and put in appropriate containers. The purple hydrangeas in the white pitcher are great. These are the types of arrangements we sell in silk at sophiedahydesigns.com and at our ETSY shop. Visit us!
Your right , they are great images. Are you too trying to find some kind of magazine replacements to those great ones that have bit the dust? The void is growing wider D:
The staircase is paint! The fine stripes would be labor intensive, but you can easily do some of your own- but be sure to use a high traffic friendly outdoor paint on a space like that!
I actually did the staircase for a friend. It took a lot of measure & tape time, not a huge painting time but drying then 2 clear coats to finish since its a high traffic area….thats where the time really comes in. It looks so good though….. I can't believe even WD is stepping into the modern world…about time. When Family Circle hits your blog then I'll faint.
Erin, that stair case is so cool! Is that painted?
I might need to add this book to my collection. Thanks for the tip!

Way to go Women’s Day! Love the faux runner on the stairs. Such a bright, colourful set of photos!
me wants!
I love finding great things in random magazines…they feel like a hidden treasure!
Beautiful images! I love the room with the books arranged by color, and that yellow lamp is fun and stylish!
Ooh…that book looks awesome! I love the bookshelves, of course:)
I was wondering the same thing about the fabulous staircase? paint/carpet? either way I love it and might have to replicate!

I added that one to my book list recently too! Looks great.
Now that looks like a book for me ! Thanks for the heads up. I’ll be investing in that one soon. Cheers, Kate
